RAAF
Lourens & Esté Raaf - the genre-bending multi-instrumental duo known for their theatrical & high-energy live concerts. Their audiences stretch across all age groups and audience members describe RAAF as a fundamental music experience.
In October 2022, Lourens and Esté Raaf announced that their creativity, sound, and vision have developed and they want to bring their career home to craft their life work. What was known as "Bottomless Coffee Band" has merged to RAAF - their family name. A "raaf" is a raven in Afrikaans.
Bottomless Coffee Band was formed at Stellenbosch University. After completing their studies Lourens ventured into the corporate sector as an Investment Analyst. Esté started as a young actress while heading a theatre company.
After releasing their debut album "Room With A View" in 2014, BCB became local crowd favorites for melodic storytelling and electrifying performances, inspiring the nostalgia of the folk-rock legends of yesteryear.
Their successful debut release led the couple to quit their corporate careers and take their music on the road.
With diverse backgrounds in Rock ’n Roll, theatre, and Esté's classical singing, the duo aims to create something unique in modern-day music.
4 albums later, Lourens & Esté Raaf operates as an active touring band, performing ±150 concerts annually.

Lourens and Esté Raaf is a beautiful couple of this RAAF Music and the way they sing as well as make their own instrumental music is just as beautiful. They were also singing the Happy Birthday song for my 68th birthday on that day at Droombos in Windhoek, Namibia.
All other songs and their performances on stage are always beautiful and are loved by all attending the music show.

The show was absolutely amazing, but it was SO disappointing that the concert-goers didn't have basic manners and kept quiet when Esti was talking. I was so ashamed to be in the crowd and can just imagine how she must have felt. Utter disrespect.
