Malevolent

Malevolent is a progressive death metal band from Sacramento, California. Greg Chastain (drums), Brian Curtin (guitar), Marcose Walton (guitar), John Castberg (bass), Cruz Alvarez (vocals), and Jeff Clifford (synth/keyboard) . By creating technical music with aspects of all sub genres and self promotion, Malevolent has built a fanbase of thousands of fans of death metal and metalcore. Malevolent has been featured on the Trail of Sickness Tour in 2009 and the California Killing Spree in tour 2010. they were also nominated for best metal act in the Sac Shows Local Music Awards put on by the Artery Foundation. Malevolent constantly works hard booking shows both local and out of town. Malevolent has played Cal Expo home of the California state fair and frequently plays the Boardwalk in Orangevale, Ca. They have shared the stage with national and international acts such as Kreator, Vader, Fear Factory, Suffocation, Nile, Decapitated, 6 feet under, Dark Funeral, Satyricon, Enslaved, Cattle Decapitation, Suicide Silence, Animals as Leaders, The Faceless, and Animosity to name a few. Malevolent has also released four demos and eps. Recently they have finished recording a full length album with Navene Koperweis (Animosity, Animals as Leaders) and are looking for a label to help with the release of the album as well as extensive touring in and out of the US.
