Mitchy Dee

Mitchy Dee is a singer/songwriter based out of Swampscott MA. He played for years in various bands based around Massachusetts but in 2016 with the arrival of his first son on the way he knew it was time to persue music as a solo artist. After an intense, high volume songwriting process, Mitch took what he had crafted out into the ears of the world in 2017. An entertainer at heart, Mitchy Dee's lyrics are often upbeat, clever, and with a dash of humor. However, he does still like to bring the energy down for some introspective soul searching. Employing a one man band approach to music, he has created 2 different approaches to performance. At coffeehouses and acoustic nights he can be seen rocking a guitar, harmonica, and kick drum to create a very upbeat folk style. When it's time to plug in and get loud, you can look forward to some noodly guitar backed by bass, drum, and synth loops created on the fly. Mitchy Dee has spent 2017 playing various featured sets with both of these styles around the Greater Boston area and the North Shore. He's re-starting himself strong and only looking to get stronger in the time to come.
