Tom Teasley | The Rhythmist

Acclaimed percussionist, composer, and former U.S. Department of State Cultural Envoy Tom Teasley explores the power of rhythm to connect cultures, inspire creativity, and enhance well-being.

Described by The Washington Post as a “musical wizard,” Teasley blends world percussion, jazz, ancient instruments, and contemporary technology to create compelling musical experiences that transcend traditional boundaries.

His work encompasses innovative solo performances, The Art of the Duo improvisational collaborations, and Sounds You Can SEE, featuring original live scores for silent cinema and avant-garde film.
Equally central to his artistic vision is BioRhythms, an immersive sound meditation experience combining handpans, resonant percussion, breathing, and meditative rhythmic cycles. Presented in concert settings, universities, wellness centers, and therapeutic environments, these programs invite audiences to experience the restorative potential of rhythm, sound, and deep listening.

Drawing on decades of international performances and cultural exchanges, Teasley creates experiences that are both artistically adventurous and deeply human.

Ancient rhythms. New possibilities. Music without borders.
