All Messed Up

[FR] 2009 : La Rochelle voit naître un nouveau groupe. All Messed Up n’est pas un nom donné par hasard, il s’agit d’un état d’esprit. « Tout foirer », c’est ce qui caractérise Joris (chant et guitare), Vincent (batterie), Manu (guitare) et Sandy (basse), les fondateurs de ce groupe. Le style musical de l’époque ressemblait véritablement à du pop-punk, inspiré de groupes tels que A Day To Remember ou bien Four Year Strong. [EN] 2009: A new band is created in La Rochelle (France). All Messed Up is not a random name. This is what characterizes Joris (voice and guitar), Vincent (drum), Manu (guitar) and Sandy (bass), the founding members of the band. The songs sounded like pop-punk style, inspired by some famous bands such as A Day To Remember or Four Year Strong. [FR] 2010 : La formation se produit plusieurs fois au niveau régional, puis enregistre son premier EP dans l’été. Après quelques soucis, All Messed Up se sépare de Sandy et Manu. Joris et Vincent ne sont plus que deux mais décident d’unir leurs efforts pour chercher d’autres musiciens et continuent tant bien que mal à composer. [EN] 2010: The band is playing several times in the Western part of France. They also record their first EP during the summer. Then, after some troubles, Sandy and Manu leave the band. Joris and Vincent are still in the band and decide to search for other musicians to join the band. They also keep recording some new songs. [FR] 2011 : Il faut attendre l’été pour que Joris croise Nicolas à un concert. Deux mois plus tard, Nicolas auditionne pour le poste de bassiste et a immédiatement sa place dans le groupe. AMU enchaîne alors quelques concerts, notamment à Limoges, ou à Saintes. [EN] 2011: Joris meets Nicolas in a gig. Few months later, Nicolas is getting hired as a bassist. AMU plays several shows, in Limoges or Saintes. [FR] 2012 : Plusieurs guitaristes vont auditionner mais aucun ne sera retenu. En mai, Nicolas passe à la guitare, et Kevin, un ami du groupe (ex-chanteur de 9 o’Clock), les rejoint à la basse. En septembre, alors que Nicolas part à l’étranger pendant une année, Raph arrive en tant que guitariste. Les compos ne cessent de voir le jour et All Messed Up évolue vers un style post-hardcore, sous l’influence des nouveaux membres du groupe. [EN] 2012: Several guitarists will audition but no one will continue the All Messed Up adventure. In May, Nicolas becomes guitarist, and Kevin, a friend of the band (ex-singer of 9 o’Clock) joins them as a bassist. In September, while Nicolas is going abroad for a year, Raph arrives as a guitarist. A lot of new songs are written and All Messed Up is evolving into a post-hardcore style, thanks to the new members of the band. [FR] 2013 : En février, AMU se rend à Limoges pour le tournage du clip de Blood & Tears (visible ici : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaZKHO0Qb2g) et continue la compo de l’EP en attendant le retour de Nicolas. Durant l’été, le groupe est enfin réuni et se compose alors de Joris (chant), Vincent (batterie), Raph (guitare), Nicolas (guitare et chant) et Kevin (basse et chant). Des dates sont prévues pour la fin d’année en même temps que la sortie de l’EP. During the summer, the band is finally together and the lineup is now composed of Joris (scream), Vincent (drum), Raph (guitar), Nicolas (guitar and scream) and Kevin (bass and scream).
