Ludovic Vendi

Born in Nice, French Riviera 3 decades ago, Vendi is a self-taught artist who has cultivated his passion for drawing (which turned into success as a talented tattoo artist) and playing several acoustic instruments like guitar, piano, bass, hang, and drums from a very young age. After playing in a rock band as a teenager, Vendi was inspired by Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, CAN and Sonic Youth and at the age of 20 started to play records and producing at the same time, tweaking knobs of modular and machines analog in his Berlin studio. After having this first relationship with electronic music , Vendi moved to Berlin, a city where he found his place playing records for the last decade in several clubs like Trésor, Club Der Visionaere , Wilde Renate, and Watergate, but also has performed at renowned clubs in Europe, South and North America and this last 2 years traveling to the East countries between Bucharest and Moscow. As musician, he's exploring also different type of music since long time under "blacksketch" nickname witch has already several albums released on bandcamp like soundtracks, ambient, post rock alternative. For the past year 3 years, Vendi has released on labels like Hoxton London, Bodyparts, Silver Network, Sleep is Commercial, Inwave, Uzvar. He has already signed with very reputable underground labels for new releases in 2018 plus his own imprint label, Black Sketch Records, which will launch this summer. His music productions are played by recognized underground artists like Villalobos, Raresh, Sammy Dee, Cezar Lazar After some time spent in his studio, doing music and working in a art tattoo gallery in Berlin, Vendi is always rebuilding his artistic fibre returning with a unique color in his sounds that have not left indifferent the actual underground scene. eletronic art
