About Horse Horse Tiger Tiger

Horse Horse Tiger Tiger is the love child of four high school friends, Philip Witham, Brogan O’Hara, Christoffer Thygesen, and Evan Weiner. The four started playing together over their mutual love for Radiohead, Weezer, and all things Zeppelin. So when Philip’s interests turned from schoolwork to songwriting, he and Brogan teamed up to start one of the most promising Menlo Park post-classic psychedelic bassoon-inspired garage rock songwriting partnerships of the decade. Described as “okay, I guess” by Philip's mom, the band takes creative inspiration from the Chinese phrase “mama huhu.” Literally, “horse horse tiger tiger,” “mama huhu” roughly means “so-so” or “mediocre.” They’re still figuring out what exactly to make of that.
