Hamka

2003, Elisa C.Martin and Willdric Lievin left the band Fairyland. For many years, Willdric was dreaming about making a concept album based on ethnical legends and mythology. It was the right time to make it, even if the project was ambitious. He immediately met Yann Mouhad, one of the best french guitar players, and they started composing for Hamka's first EP in 2005 : "Exodus". Ideas were flowing, and the band decided to follow on the same path by composing an entire album, which ultimately became "Unearth", a perfect mix of melodic metal, fantasy and ethnical instruments. In 2006, the album was completed and the band signed with King records in Japan.it was a huge critical success.
A few years have passed, filled with different projects, jobs and family matters, but 2013 sees the rebirth of HAMKA with the arrival of three new members : Julien Negro on guitar, Alexandre Ardisson on bass and JB Pol on drums.
2017,the band signed a deal with Fighter Records to release the new album “Multiversal” on December 14th. The album contains 14-song opus of top quality Symphonic Power metal with
Ethnic Influences. “Inner Conviction” song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMujk6pdvF0Ideas were flowing, and the band decided to follow on the same path by composing an entire album, which ultimately became "Unearth", a perfect mix of melodic metal, epic and ethnical instruments.

In 2006, the album was completed and the band signed with King records in Japan. Even through limited promotion it was a huge critical success.

A few years have passed, filled with different projects, jobs and family matters, but 2013 sees the rebirth of HAMKA with the arrival of two new members : Sylvain Cohen on guitar and JB Pol on drums. Their second album « Multiversal » will be released worldwide on December 14 2017 !

Now the band is back, stronger than never !!!
