About The Kirkz

So if you want to talk about pedigree then look no further than Macclesfield’s The Kirkz. It’s been 20 years since they picked up battered gear and started cranking out noise. Fast forward to present day and they have shared stages with the the finest UK punk of the era. Most of those other bands have since fell by the wayside but The Kirkz couldn’t even contemplate such a thing. Burning out or fading away is often presented as the only choices. The Kirkz prefer a third option, burning hotter and spreading further like a forest fire that can’t be contained. Having outgrown this little island their sights are now set on larger prize as Europe awaits,

If there’s been a festival worth playing in the UK then The Kirkz have done it, if there’s been a scene or must-play venue then they’ve outlived it and are here to tell the tale. If there’s still badges worth wearing after all that time then its the names, face and contacts they count amongst friends. A who’s who of underground punk rock that in the only currency that matters makes The Kirkz very rich men. Work has started on the latest and greatest Kirkz release pegged for 2018. If ruling the roost on stage isn’t enough they’ve now made a bid for the airwaves with the launch of new Podcast “Rock Radio Bitch”.
