I had a great time! Suzy never disappoints. She sang all her hits and the her new single. The 2 men that accompany her were very talented especially the guitarist. I wish she would come to a venue in NH so I wouldn't have to travel so far to see her. Congratulation for being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, it is well deserved!

as always gives a wonderful warm from the heart performance she relates to her audience she is funny she's engaging and she makes people laugh and sometimes she makes them cry but she is always very special she is genuine and engaging with everybody who will speak with her

The show was great. High energy from Suzy and her band members. A great venue. My only complaint was at table 103 the acoustics were not so great. It got a little better when Suzy’s microphone was adjusted but I think the soeaker placements favor the tables directly in front of the stage.

Fabulous! I have been a fan of her music for a long time! She still has that clear, beautiful voice, and perfect pitch and is a great entertainer! It was a wonderful evening for me and my adult daughter who is also a big fan! We've spent many road trips listening to Suzy.

This is my second time seeing Suzy Boggus and as always it was a wonderful show. She's so funny and makes her shows lighthearted and comfortable. The venue was amazing. I highly recommend the Temple Theatre, so nice and cozy, but be aware the seats in the balcony are low and makes it difficult to see the stage if you are in the front row balcony. The staff there was awesome. So friendly! It was a wonderful night! Highly recommend Suzy and the Temple Theatre.

The Venue was fantastic! Quaint with the homey feel. It will be a place to go to to share small venue enjoyment of quality artists. As to artists, Suzy Bogguss is captivating and so friendly. Her band consisted of Peter on base and Matt on guitar (he was so versatile). Suzy can sing like a lark and the clarity of her voice just softly echoed throughout the hall. I have enjoyed her music and listening to her in person made it all more special. I would HIGHLY recommend not only the Venue, The Buffalo Grass Music hall (thanks Doyle & Barb for your hard work) but Suzy and her amazing artists who even did some A Capella work in their songs. Keep an eye out for her coming near you and please do not miss the chance to hear and meet her.

The Suzy Boggess concert was great! The music was so good, each of the performers were so excellent and professional, the venue was really beautiful. Ms Boggess was a good storyteller and a humble, real person and it was great hearing songs that I remember from long ago. I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because I couldn’t hear the words of the songs very well, mostly because of my poor hearing. Suzy Bogguss was awesome last night in Forsythe, GA. We were lucky enough to get tickets last minute when we stopped for the night driving back to NC from Sarasota. She has the best, most versatile voice in the business. Another thing people who have never met her might not know is how kind and gracious she is to her fans. She's got a new album coming out soon--and a book. Seems she's always busy with touring and new projects. Go see her if you get a chance. Guaranteed, you won't be disappointed!

What a fun night! Suzy and her band are awesome and played a great mix of old and new songs. She commented on how good the music sounds in Bootbarn Hall. We enjoyed a few acoustic numbers at the end, which capped off a perfect evening. Suzy has such a pretty, clear voice - we just love her. The fellas in her band are awesome, too. They make a fantastic team ❤️

Suzy Bogguss: 7/21/23 “Anytime these days I get the opportunity to see a 90’s Country favorite for first time LIVE I do my best to capitalize and tonight was no exception. The venue itself being brand new opening just last month solidified my decision to take the hour and fifty minute drive into Gainesville GA. The 300 seat Boot Barn Hall set up with tables and chairs in a slightly smaller scale arrangement as City Winery Atlanta with spectacular sound did not disappoint. My table second row center stage afforded a direct view to the ACM/CMA Grand Ole Opry member from Aledo Illinois. With 16 studio albums, 26 charted singles including 6 top 10’s the setlist was bound to include the majority of them. The show being the first of a 15 show set ending in November consisting of a few dates per month there was no set list to follow along with. The bare-bones stage set up had positions for the main artist center stage with support from Rob Price on standup bass to her right and Craig Smith on lead guitar to her left. A steeping cup of tea was placed on her chair by a tech 15 minutes prior to the show apparently to cool down. At 8 p.m. singer/songwriter Susan Kay Bogguss 66 took the stage for an hour and a half / 18 song set beginning with her #9 ‘Outbound Plane’. ‘I’m gonna start out with some songs I know and we’ll go from there, and y’all can please hold the tomatoes for later on’. Spoiler alert, there were NO tomatoes to be found on sight, everyone sang along all evening long! The opener was one of five songs to be performed intermittently throughout the evening taken from ‘Aces’ her 1991 breakout album. ‘There’s nothing more that touches my heart than when you sing along so please please feel free to have a big old hootenanny tonight.’ Her number #5 ‘Just Like The Weather’ followed with her #9 ‘Aces’ in the wings. ‘I play in certain regions and people think i’ve retired a long time ago and I’m like “No I’m still out here doing it”’. In her own brand of straightforward style she moved right into two Haggard standards ’Today I Started Loving You’ and ‘Let’s Chase Each Other Around The Room’. Inheriting her daddy’s ’68 Dodge Polara at the tender age of sixteen which also included a host of 8-Tracks she began a journey solidifying her love for the classics. After some outstanding Haggardesque guitar work from her left sidekick band intros were an early on must, ‘they’re both very interesting cats’. First was her bassist Rob, ‘This feller over here he’s from Whales. Yes, me and Craig we’re just from normal human parents’. Rob’s stepson is Marty Stuarts bass player i.e. The Professor Chris Scruggs. Chris played in Suzy’s band prior to being a Superlative giving Rob an open invitation to fill the gap. Craig who’s been with her on guitar for nine years has played The Opry nearly 50 times and had been former member of Clay Walker’s band prior to. An experienced seaman from a from a seafaring family in Scotland he now resides in Nashville to further pursue his music career. Next up were a cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s ’Night Rider’s Lament’ showcasing Suzy’s yodeling skillset and a brand new song from her forthcoming album ‘Too Late To Worry About That Now’. With Craig strapping on a B-bender Tele the tempo picked up with her #12 hit Ian Tyson ‘Someday Soon’ and her highest chart topper ‘Drive South’ a #2 blockaded only by Lori Morgan’s 1992 #1 ‘What Part Of No’. The combo of his Telecaster and her ‘Trigger’ a well worn Taylor made for a near perfect rendition of CSN’s ‘Teach Your Children’. Craig’s incredible string bending matched Jerry Garcia’s pedal steel just as well as their harmonies matched that of the classic rock trio. ‘Letting Go’ and ‘Hey Cinderella’ #6 and #5 respectively rounded out the regular set Suzy adding to the lyrics ‘does the shoe fit you know’ the words ‘and how bout those size 27 waist jeans’. The encore was a rendition of the traditional ‘Red River Valley’ where they unplugged singing and playing acoustic while utilizing the venue acoustics to their most extreme level. With a final yodel and Patsy Montana’s ‘I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart the evening wound down to it’s final conclusion. I didn’t realize just how many covers her hits actually were, taking away the covers and traditional arrangements the entire evening only featured 6 originals! Notably missing from the set was 1989’s #14 ‘Cross My Broken Heart’. Beginning her career as the first female artist featured at Dollywood through a 34 year career, her voice is still strong and her spirit alive keeping 90’s country on the airwaves and in our hearts!” Review and photo by DAve (Concert #802)

One of the most incredible concert experiences I’ve ever had. Suzy Bogguss and Kathy Mattea were excellent performers with warm, rich harmonies and poignant lyrics which kept the audience enraptured. I got to sing “ Someday Soon” WITH Suzy (front row seat) and she HEARD ME! ( I was standing up) She LIKED IT! That’s not something you get to do every concert. I loved them both before as performers. After this experience, I love them both as PEOPLE. Don’t miss this spirit lifting duo if you get the chance!

Great that a big-name, hugely talented artist would come to a small venue like this for an up-close and personal performance! Suzy Bogguss' voice is just as beautiful as it was when she debuted her number one hits back in the 1990s, no joke. And she's been producing dozens of records of various genres ever since. Her band is exceptional, too. If you get a chance to see her, go! You also might catch her with her pals Kathy Mattea, Terri Clark, or Pam Tillis.

Loved the venue, great site lines and acoustics. But the performance with Suzy and Kathy by far exceeded my expectations. They managed to make me very happy. Thought I’m not as familiar with Kathy’s voice over the years (it’s great regardless), but is it possible Suzy’s is even better now than when she recorded Aces. I wasn’t the only one who thought so. Great all around experience! They’re perfect together!

Suzy was great, as she's always been, she's still beautiful too. The venue is small, maybe that's why she didn't have her full band. Staff was extremely cordial, plenty of free parking, about a half mile walk to anywhere to eat. Safe area.

Suzy Bogguss and her two man band..sounded great. They played Merle Haggard standards and of course her hits. They have a tight sound and play a marriage country, rock, and jazz. Suzy’s voice sounds strong and excited to be on stage. It’s nice to go see someone who is a songbird, singer/songwriter, and entertainer who engages you to be apart of the show.

I have been a huge fan of Suzy for years. I introduced her music to my wife recently and she instantly fell in love with her voice, as well. When we learned she was going to be performing in Franklin, TN we booked the last two tickets still available and made the trip from Birmingham, AL. We were not disappointed! Suzy still has the same smooth voice as she did when I first heard her on the radio years ago. I was not sure how I would enjoy Kathy Mattea in concert. I could only remember one or two of her songs. However, once the two began performing I recognized Kathy's hit songs. She and Suzy put on a great evening of entertainment. Their vocal harmonies were outstanding. I was also impressed with both of their guitar playing. It was so refreshing to hear great lyrics and storytelling through song in an acoustic setting. Loved this evening of entertainment!

What can I say? This is the best day of the week. I drop everything I might be doing so I don’t miss the start. If you know Suzy, you know that she never disappoints....gifted artist, beautiful voice, unbelievably warm, killer smile, funny. The best part is you feel like she is sitting next to you. I don’t believe I have ever met an artist who truly appreciates her fans as much as she does....she thanks us every week. Suzy lights up as she watches everyone connect....people are from all over, even other countries. As a mere mortal, I feel as though I get my piece of sunshine and joy every Wednesday...I try not to let my happy bubble pop before I make it to the next week.
