I was there for Basement Saints’ 2024 reinvention with Down South and have since seen them seven times—each gig unique. On 2 May, concert number eight took place in the elegant Konservi in Seon, complete with dinner and a custom “Basement Saints” wine. And yes, the Saints delivered once again: 19 songs across two sets, including classics like Fine by Me, Night Owl, and Sunflower Seeds. Stories came alive in Buccaneer and Boots, and two new tracks—Dreams and RNR—offered a promising glimpse into their future sound.
Musical Easter eggs nodded to Pink Floyd and The Doors, and the night reached its peak with the majestic Highway Lines and a moving finale: House of the Rising Sun. There’s not a single weak track in their set—each one arena-worthy. Molly’s drumming, now more central, is precise yet soulful, the quiet engine of the band. Anton’s voice—rich in blues, soul, and gospel—is the best in rock today, matched by his ever-evolving guitar work. And Robby on the keys? A one-man storm, fusing joy, skill, and unpredictability.
Basement Saints are not retro; they are the now of rock. Among Swiss bands, none rival their innovation and energy. Catch them live in 2025—you won’t regret it.

I was there for Basement Saint’s rebirth in 2024 with Down South and have now seen them eight times. Every show is unique, but May 2 at the Konservi in Seon was a revelation. The Saints delivered 19 powerful songs, from classics like “Fine by Me” and “Night Owl” to pirate anthems and the majestic new track “Dreams.” Musical Easter eggs nodded to Pink Floyd and The Doors, and “Highway Lines” opened with an organ intro worthy of Jon Lord himself.
Drummer Molly, now more central without bass, played with precision and presence, anchoring every song with understated brilliance. Anton’s voice—bluesy, soulful, rock to the core—is the best in the business, and his guitar work continues to evolve with every performance. Robby on keys is pure electricity: playful, explosive, unpredictable. His solos? Legendary. His flying pirate hat? A tradition.
But it’s the chemistry between Anton and Robby—fiery, melodic, epic—that truly lifts this band beyond comparison. Forget retro. This is now-rock at its finest. In a country proud of Gotthard and Krokus, Basement Saints stand tall as Switzerland’s most exciting live rock band. Still 18 shows to go in 2025—don’t miss your chance.

Als sich 2014 die Band mit einem Schlagzeuger vervollständigte entstand aus den
gesammelten Riffs, Grooves, und Texten die erste EP «Free Souls».
Der Song «Brother» ging gleich um die Welt und wurde bei einem Spiel der
Gamingkonsole X-Box im Werbetrailer verwendet.
Nach der erfolgreichen Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Albums «Get Ready» tourten sie
durch Deutschland und Spanien und betritt grosse Bühnen wie Montreux Jazz Festival.
Auch im gleichen Jahr erschien Ihr zweites Album «Bohemian Boogie» mit einem Mix
aus 70’s Rock’n’Roll und Südstaaten Rock.
Im Jahr 2021, nach einer Neuformation der Band, erschien das dritte Album
«STIMULATION».
Mit diesem Album begann eine neue Ära.
