What a beautiful night. Marlon and his band (the Yarra Benders) played the Māori language songs from his newest album (Te Whare Tīwekaweka) and they were just glorious. He had a charming banter and connection with the predominantly Australian audience. I point this out because Māori is not a language many would have had much understanding of. He did play a couple of his earlier English-language songs (crowd favourites!). The set went from solo pieces (Marlon on the piano) to full band (both guitarists being multi-instrumentalists too) to having their entire support act, Ngā Mātai Pūrua (over 20 I think), perform on stage. So incredible! Marlon has the most beautiful voice and positive energy! If you can go and see him live, I would say DO IT!

The best concert I’ve ever been to. To combine the celebration of music with our journey to unity was so clever and so wholesome. The way Marlon used the stage was fantastic. And bro on the double bass has a meeeaaannn voice! Chur

A truely magnificent concert. Not just great music from Marlon but he has a wicked sense of humour. Fabulous crowd participation. Absolutely wrapped I finally got tickets.

So many iconic moments in his set, I can't pick a favourite! The music is amazing and his personality on stage is infectious, he's a natural born performer

Marlon was absolutely brilliant as always. An entertaining and humble Kiwi with a massive voice. Accoustics were spot on as always at the MFC but really would have loved this show to be at a standing venue.
