Skuzz Sound’s curiosity for Electronic music began in his youth fascinated by the sounds of Daft Punk and Tiesto. He fiddled with audio production in his early teens and after a life-changing weekend at Shambhala music Festival having witnessed the likes of Bassnectar and Excision, his curiosity changed to passion as he hopped into the music world with two feet and hasn’t looked back. He moved from the Canadian prairies to Kelowna, BC in 2011 where he studied Audio Engineering for two years. Now immersed in Western Canada’s rich Bass Music culture, he takes influence from some of his favorites Datsik and Mark Instinct and his peers Abstrakt Sonance, Weston, and others. On the music front, his EP “Let’s Get Skuzzy" debuted at number 8 on Beatport’s top release charts in early 2016, which featured his work and notable collaborations. On the gig front, his July 2016 headlining role at Motion Notion’s notorious Bass Stage “The Cabana” (by pk sound) saw him play to a full festival stage of friends and new fans. Over the past 3 years, he has supported sold-out events featuring Bear Grillz, TC, Dimond Saints, Nick Thayer, and Mat The Alien & The Librarian. His many local nightclub and rave gigs keep him busy during the winter months when he is not working in his home studio.
