Down to the Bone are a funk/jazz/soul band from the UK.
The founder and producer of the band is Stuart Wade. Wade states that 'it's all about the groove....that is what gets people dancing, their toes tapping and their heads nodding.'
The band lineup consists of many accomplished musicians, including Paul 'Shilts' Weime, who was in the horn section for The Brand New Heavies. Tony Remy, guitarist, has toured with Lonnie Liston Smith and Craig David, whilst Neil Angilley (Keys) has also worked with Snowboy. Julian Crampton (Bass) was with Incognito and Adrian Revell (Sax) has toured with Jamiroquoi.
In the U.S, for gigs, the band changes slightly, encompassing such musical talent as Neal Wilkinson (drums), Rufus Philpot (bass) , Dino Saldo (sax), Allen Hinds (guitar) and Ronnie Gutierrez (percussion/drums).
In the studio, Neil Cowley (keys) has appeared on the new Zero 7 album 'When it Falls.' He also had his own successful musical project with Ben Mynott, 'Fragile State.'but is now getting huge recognition as The Neil Cowley Trio.
