About Tyler Dial
Arizona born and bred, Tyler Dial, earned his business degree from the University of Texas and his “real-life” LIVE music education playing Austin’s Sixth Street. During his four years in Texas, he had the honor of opening for names like Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, Cody Johnson, Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram and many more.
Keeping a promise to Mom and Dad to graduate before pursuing his dream, Dial will move to Nashville and launch his full-time music career as a singer, songwriter and recording artist following his May 19, 2018 graduation.
During his childhood in Phoenix, Ty’s dad introduced him to musical greats like The Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks and The Eagles who were the first to influence his love of writing and performing. It was Sam Hunt, John Mayer, and a Keith Urban concert with his mom that convinced the accomplished and recruited soccer player to hang up his cleats and take his guitar to Texas.
His second EP, Repaint, was produced in creative partnership with Nashville’s Neon Cross Music and draws inspiration from many of Ty’s past and present favorites.
The title track represents the changing times in Tyler’s life and career as he “repaints” himself as a performer, defines his brand of country and moves to Nashville to make his mark. The track is as much Eric Church as it is Kings of Leon. With country storytelling, banjo and acoustic guitar throughout, Ty adds new colors, textures and sounds with synthesizers and a spacey U2-like lead guitar.
The subsequent tracks, tailgating rocker “Ice Cold Memories,” Devin Dawson penned “Hold You to It,” Lucie Silvas-backed “The Night Fire Met Gasoline” and debut single written by Tyler “Truth in the Way,” are influenced by a wide-range of Dial’s musical icons like fellow-Phoenician Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, the Brothers Osborne, Devin Dawson, Little Big Town, Kings of Leon, The Alabama Shakes and Tame Impala.
Tyler, along with his creative and publishing team led by Melissa Spillman, look forward to building on the success of his 2015 self-titled album and single, “Damn Good Time,” that charted on country radio with the help of Sirius XM’s The Highway channel. The album and hit song earned critical acclaim on the live music circuit. Spillman, previously Manager of A&R at Capitol Records Nashville and a fellow Texas Longhorn, heads up Neon Cross, the production and publishing company helmed by the award-winning producer Jay Joyce.
Though just 23 years-old, Dial has deep roots in country music and was recently named a BBVA Compass 2018 Brand Ambassador. His 2018 summer tour will include events in BBVA markets across the U. S. as well as appearances tied to the bank’s agreement with the world's leading sports and live entertainment company, AEG, including concerts and brand activations at some of AEG's key venues.
Tyler Dial will kick off his May new music release with a Graduation Party at historic Austin live music venue Antone’s and a June performance at CMA Fest 2018.
