About Nutritious
Nutritious is an artist, creative visionary, and cultural alchemist renowned for blending creativity and innovation across diverse industries. He is celebrated for his coveted performances and trailblazing projects, including A&R at Liquid Culture and as a founding team member of DoubleBlind Magazine—a biannual print and digital media company acclaimed for its pioneering coverage of psychedelics, mental health, and cultural transformation. His work has been featured by esteemed institutions and publications such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, Rodarte, The New York Times, and more.
A contributing author to the New York Times bestselling book Living Well: 21 Days to Transform Your Life, Supercharge Your Health, and Feel Spectacular with Montel Williams, Nutritious leads impactful projects emphasizing creativity, holistic well-being, and equitable access to opportunity. He excels at building supportive communities and collaborating with visionary entrepreneurs, business leaders, and creatives to cultivate environments where innovation and meaningful connections thrive. Committed to lasting positive change, he advocates for strategies that empower individuals and communities to think differently, solve problems creatively, and contribute meaningfully to the world.
Musically, Nutritious’s 2023 album Blurs (Paper Recordings, UK) features iconic cover art by legendary designer John Van Hamersveld—renowned for his work with Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones—and reached Beatport’s Top 5, charting for six weeks. With an extensive touring history, Nutritious has brought his innovative sound to a wide range of notable venues and events worldwide. Highlights include a special invitation to perform at the Whitney Museum of American Art—supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation and attended by VIPs and press to celebrate major exhibitions by Sherrie Levine, Roy Lichtenstein, and David Smith—as well as sets at Ultra Music Festival, Rodarte for New York Fashion Week, Le Bain, Cielo, Pete Tong’s Evolution XM, ESL in D.C., Ace Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, and more. He is also a contributor to Magnetic Magazine, helping shape conversations around creativity and cultural transformation.
He has scored several films executive produced by the late Danny Aiello and appears in two feature films—#Lucky Number starring Method Man, and Before We Were Kings alongside Moby, Sander Kleinenberg, and Wolfgang Gartner, with his original music featured on the soundtracks. His DJ sets have been commissioned by American Apparel, W Hotels, Societe Perrier, and various FM and satellite radio shows, including Sirius XM, KMHD Portland, and WNUR Chicago.
Passionate about community, Nutritious has helped raise over $150,000 for the National Down Syndrome Society and participates in charity events for The Bailey House, The MS Foundation, Boys & Girls Club Malibu, Success Centers, and the Last Prisoner Project.
The name Nutritious is inspired by his studies in holistic nutrition. While touring, he graduated from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts (NGIHCA), which has informed his consulting work with celebrities like Montel Williams, supermodel Emme, major labels, and more.
On stage, Nutritious sets himself apart with consistent awe inspiring performances and outside the box production. Having learned on cassette and vinyl, he currently performs on 3 to 4 Pioneer digital turntables plus DSP FX, using them as live instruments, bending music and tone, remixing and re-editing on the spot, often blurring the line between organic and electronic. Through his approach, he delivers two distinct shows: Uptempo (indie dance, house, techno) and Downtempo (edits, nu-disco, funk, soul).
An improvisational musician since childhood, Nutritious landed his first record deal at 16, a breakthrough that led to performances at New York’s most storied institutions—including CBGBs, Tramps, and other legendary clubs at the heart of the city’s cultural movement. By 17, he was already making his mark as a promoter at the iconic Palladium nightclub—an uncommon opportunity for someone so young. As the legendary Save The Robots transitioned into its next chapter, Nutritious held its first residency, continuing all night Saturday sets for the devoted East Village crowd. This was one of several residencies that became launching pads for the innovative projects and collaborations that followed.
Renowned for his collaborative spirit, Nutritious is known for high-energy DJ collaborations—jamming live with other artists on stage, including a celebrated 2x4 set with DJ Logic at the Catskill Chill Festival. He has also performed Mushroom Jazz shows with Mark Farina in cities across the US and internationally on Jam Cruise, and continues to bring his dynamic, genre-blurring sound to audiences around the world.
