Dave Koz

I love Dave Koz and his band was awesome!! It’s been quite some time since he came to San Antonio and it was such a treat to see and hear his music. I have been on Smooth Jazz Cruises and well as different Smooth Jazz venues around the country!! Had a great time with all the ole school music! Definitely brought me back to my younger days! Keep the Smooth Jazz coming to San Antonio!!! And please come back Dave Koz and Summer Horns!!!

The sound mix did a disservice to the rhythm section and the overall quality of the show. The rumble could have been reduced by better management of tonality and miking. Guitar leads were hardly audible. This made the sound of the lower tones for trombone and baritone muffled, which was a gross disservice to the artists. Has dallas lost an ear for live music where we must travel to have quality? Get some skilled sound engineers for live bands and let them do it right.

Incredible concert. Dave Koz is amazing and he always surrounds himself with incredibly talented people. This concert featured the Summer Brass band. Everyone on the stage was a tremendously accomplished musician. The music selection was splendid and there was good humor and lots of energy. I particularly enjoyed those numbers when Dave and the band sang back up and did coordinated dance routines a la Motown. It was such a remarkable program - I smiled the entire 90 minutes. This morning I looked at the tour schedule and emailed friends who live in towns where the tour was headed suggesting they buy tickets. GO - you won't be disappointed.

This musical event was great! Both Bob and Dave continue to prove why they're at the top of my playlist. This was our first time seeing Bob James live, we saw Dave Koz with Wyman Tisdale years ago at the Chicago Theater, which was also a great show. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere at the Fine Arts Building. However, we'd also like to see both Bob and Dave perform with their bands as well. Please come back to Chi-Town. With the Lords will, we will definitely attend 🙏🏽 🙌🏽.

Best Christmas concert in the country! Dave always knows how to share his talents and feature (many) other artists within his shows. Dave is a phenomenal artist and presents zero ego. He's the best! His show is a super upbeat Christmas/holiday show with a perfect blend of rock and roll coupled with beautiful spiritual Christmas songs sung by gifted vocalists. The house was filled with Love, Joy and emotions by the end of the 2 hour show (no intermission!) I've seen at least 6 (of 26!) of Dave’s Christmas shows and they are always changed up from the last one attended. Thank you Dave, Marcus, Jonathan, Justin-Lee and Rebecca for making my Christmas complete

Dave Koz is the best. He brings amazing guests and this performance is no exception. We took our 17 year old grandson with us. He loved being with us, even though he said jazz was not his "vibe." He was just about the only youth in the audience. The lady sitting next to him loved him and talk with him right up to the show start time. I think he loved the fellowship and had nothing but good to say about the show and the "friends" that accompanied Dave. Thank you so much for all you do to bring light into the world, Dave and Friends. You are so needed.

This was one of many we have seen over the years. It was, without a doubt, the best concert he has ever produced. He has added some new people that could sing and play and a 16 year old that could play the piano, sing and play sazaphone & guitar. He added a young lady with a beautiful voice that added a great deal to his program. They played for nerly two hours without an intermission. The two tenor men were outstanding in their singing and their playing of their saxaphones. And, of course, Dave Koz was outstanding in his playing and direction of the orchestra. We will come again next year.

Dave Koz always brings so much positive energy to the stage. His guest artists always match his joy and energy. This is my second show to attend and they were both an absolute delight. The Humphrey's venue is small and intimate overlooking the Point Loma yacht club. The seating is even smaller. They have very small white plastic chairs tie wrapped together so you are literally sitting shoulder to shoulder with your fellow attendees. Much smaller than airplane seating without the option to upgrade to economy plus. :) But it is a nice place to experience a concert and they have a good amount of free parking nearby if you go early.

What an amazing experience!!! This was one of the absolute best concerts I have ever been to! From the great DJ who opened up the show til the closing act...exceptional talent and showmanship! Love how Dave Koz shared the stage with Candy, Darius, Maysa and highlighted that fantastic band. ALL of them were GREAT. And Dave Koz is such an awesome talent. His mastery of instruments is something to behold. Not only is he a great musician; he is a great "performer". If you have an opportunity to see this show, do it. You won't be disappointed! WOW!

I purchased tickets for my wife and I to attend the 2023 two day 40th Norfolk Jazz Festival. Dave played Saturday evening as the final musician. It was a remarkable concert. Dave not only is a musician he also brings new talent to the stage. This was the 5th time I've seen Dave perform live. The venue was outside and the weather was perfect for an outdoor concert. There were approximately 30,000 people in attendance. Fortunately we had seats within viewing distance of the stage. If you love the saxophone Dave will not disappoint and will amaze you with his own talent as well as his guests onstage.

The show was fantastic! I was really a huge fan of Candy Dulfer and not much of a fan of Dave Koz and I 've heard of Eric Darius but not familiar with his music. The music was great! All three artists shared the stage together and shared each other's music. My girlfriend and I had a great time! My birthday is Monday August 14 and the concert made a perfect birthday gift! My only complaint was the show could have been a little longer. Other than that, all three artists (plus Maysa ) were fantastic!

Generally speaking, the overall presentation of the show was very good. The performances of Dave, Candy and Eric were in the realm of the supreme. They really engaged the audience with their high energy delivery of their magnificent talent. The musical support offered by the band to the headliners was very precise and without any noticeable glitch. The visual dynamic on the stage, in regard to the fusion of the musicians’ choreography and the usage of the stage directional lighting, was very striking. The only detail that should be deeply explored, considering the refined nature of this musical spectacle, is the quality of the sound. In this sense, it was not very sharp or crisp. This is very surprising after taking into account the formidable acoustic properties existing in that venue. Probably, the appropriate route to take for addressing this pressing issue is to include within the personnel of the show a highly qualified sound technician. This person should be also a refined musician who knows by heart and by experience, how to enhance the sound of every musician on the stage in a contextual framework (i.e. by using the entire band as a musical platform). Dave Koz and Eric Darius, gave one of the best concerts, that I've seen in a long time! They gifted the audience with just great, great music, that kept us rocking out all evening! I can't wait to see them again! However, the extreme heat that we experienced at the "Sound" music theater was nearly unbearable! I was afraid for my dad who has a pacemaker, that he would have a medical issue! I would suggest huge fans that circulate a cool mist, and that would face the audience. If not the fans, then maybe something or anything else, that would help relieve the discomfort of the humidity and heat! Jacque'

I have seen all the artists going back as far as 1990 so I was amazed at how great they sounded now that they are so much older. This show, this 25th anniversary Xmas special was so well done. The sound was clean, tight and just about perfect. Keiko Matsui's performance seriously had me transfixed on her and the piano, absolutely beautifully done. Peter White, one of my very very favorites and Rick Braun were spot on and Dave Koz really is brilliant and quite the performer. We decided if your going to listen to Xmas music, this is truly the best way. Rebecca Jade whom I have never listened to has just the right voice to stand up next to these great musicians. Gallo, always a good seat and they have such nice volunteer staff members. How grateful am I that Modesto and the Central Valley has this superb venue. This was a high energy, perfectly crafted performance topped off with a message of peace and love to the world. It was a damn fine concert!!

Traveled from Pittsburgh to catch his yearly show, which we love both him and his music. He always puts on a great show. However, it was extremely loud. My husband is a bit hard of hearing, and he was getting a headache. Not sure if it was the acoustics in this particular theater. and/or that we were sitting in the balcony, but it was disappointing. We attended in Columbus last year and it was perfect, not loud at all. We also have been on his cruise and never experienced this issue. Cleveland is closer, although thinking next year we should head back to Columbus. Once again, love Dave's shows and wouldn't miss, just thought you should know. Merry Christmas!

I have been lucky to see Dave Koz Christmas concerts over the years and have been on a few of his remarkable cruises. However his 25th Anniversary Show, filled with Christmas songs, was one of Dave's best with great guests joining him on stage to give his audience a wonderful evening of non-stop entertainment!! Being a Chicagoan, it saddens me that his shows are not given more publicity when he is in town. My thanks to Dave, and his other performers, for a memorable show. If you haven't seen a Dave Koz show, no matter what time of year, they never disappoint!!

Dave Koz and Friends 25th Anniversary Christmas Event at the Keith Albee Theater on December the 4th, 2022 was absolutely stellar. 2 solid hours of high energy (along with several heart warming ballads and Christmas favorites) left the packed house totally mesmerized. Any one of the artists could have very easily pulled off an amazing event, but the level of talent all together on one stage was an occasion we will not soon forget. After the show, I had to make my way back to the sound board to introduce myself to Dave, the sound engineer for the program. His talent had the volume, clarity, sound envelope and depth the very best I have EVER experienced. His skill in getting everything audibly perfect was second to none. Hats off to Dave ... Wow!

This is the 8th Christmas show and the 10th time I have seen Dave Koz. He has not come to this area in a few years I am elated that he came to Raleigh for the 25th Anniversary show. His shows are always great but, this was the THE BEST SHOW EVER. Dave please put Raleigh/Durham as a steady location on your tour schedule. We love you and hope you will come back to us soon.

This group of artists are totally AWESOME, I'm very new to jazz and after seeing the summer horns I'm a jazz fan for EVER! I only wished I had bought their CD. It was raining so hard we dashed to our room thinking we'd be able to purchase the CD the next day, nope. Gosh I so love the Saxophone 🎷. If you get the opportunity to see this group of great Sax players, by all means do. They're Awesome 😎

Ayyyyyyeeeeee!!! My first time seeing him in concert & if God spares my life, it certainly will not be my last!!!! Dave & Friends put on a phenomenal show!!! Soooooo GLAD I was able to attend!! I was blessed to get an autographed CD as well as the most HANDSOME/BEAUTIFUL pic of ALL except one!!!
