About Rezurex
The band, REZUREX is the definitive romantic psychobilly band that expanded the genre with the 2006 release of Beyond the Grave. It was followed by Psycho Radio in 2008, from which the title song has reached anthem proportions. Their most recent release, Dance of the Dead (2011) showcases their macabre brand of 50’s and 80’s infused psycho. Their single, “Dia de Los Muertos” was featured on the Give ’em the Boot IV compilation from Hellcat Records. They are currently working on the remixed and remastered album, Psycho Radio (Rezurected), to be released this fall on Live Dead Records.
Front man and self-taught musician, Daniel deLeon is the driving creative force of REZUREX. His musical pedigree reads like a “Who’s Who” of underground music. His career began in the infamous seminal Bay Area band The INSAINTS. He has played in other notable bands: Calavera, The Deep Eynde, and 45 Grave. He is currently active with his dark wave band NEON KROSS. At shows, Daniel is always recognizable with his trademark half-skull makeup.
Do not dismiss REZUREX because of the make-up and seemingly coy drive-in movie charm. The simple charm belies the fact that this is one of the hardest working bands in the scene. For a decade, this band has toured the world, earning it adoring fans of all ages from around the globe. Like a subculture Elvis, Daniel deLeon brings the girls to tears while still being able to tear into a wrecking pit inducing rhythm. REZUREX’s live shows never disappoint and leave frenzied audiences calling for encore after encore.
REZUREX has it all: a little bit of croon, a little bit of swoon, and a whole lot of monster mayhem. Their music reflects diverse influences used to craft clever, catchy songs that connect the bygone era of pompadours and poodle skirts to mohawks and Martens. As they have evolved, they have become more polished while staying true to their signature sound, which appeals to a broad fan base not limited to aficionados of psycho, goth, punk, death rock, and classic horror movies.
