Bottled Water

Bottled Water is the manic, panicked and dynamic duo of quirky and unorthodox hip-hop MCs raised in the suburban shadow of New York City, now frequently spotted in the Bay Area. Dot Dot (played by Maxx Bartko) and Wolf Langis (played by Daniel Berliner) have made it their mission to seek out complex, unusual instrumentals and coat them with vivid surreal imagery, dark topical humor, and absurd interpersonal insights. Dot Dot handles production and instrumental accompaniment alongside fellow Connecticutters Captain JRB (played by Kim Gumaer) and The Ghost of Soul (played by Lucas Gould). The name Bottled Water is an homage to the absurdity of privatizing and packaging the most essential substance in existence. (We would like to think the things we're saying are a bit more absurd than believable.) After meeting in a high school math class and realizing what they had in common, these two MCs built a friendship immediately on poetry and music... rather than paying attention in Trigonometry. They both soon concluded that mathematical functions had very little place in their respective futures (despite knowing very little about either functions or their futures) and instead decided together to pursue music, as well did their musical cohorts, who currently live in the Tri-State area around New York City. Finally seeing release after years of creative struggle, "Decade at Bernie's" (Summer 2013) is one of the most desperately neurotic and ominous dystopian visions since Orwell wrote Nineteen Eighty-freakin'-Four: it's a magnum opus that spins a conceptual web of epic human failure through a sort of sociopathic existentialism focused by sharp sarcasm that should successfully penetrate even the most disenfranchised and dysfunctional members of today's generation.
