About Adrienne Young & Little Sadie
Adrienne Young and her band, Little Sadie, combine an appreciation for tradition and a youthful pop-inflected appreciation for a good time. Adrienne won the 2003 Chris Austin songwriting competition at MerleFest in the bluegrass category with Sadie's Song.
Plow to the End of the Road is a strong americana debut release featuring several experienced Nashville session musicians along with fresh new faces. Initially including Old Crow Medicine Show on several tracks, the general release is highlighted by appearances from Will Kimbrough and OCMS' Ketch Secor. The CD earned a Grammy nomination for designer Jami Anderson for Best Recording Package, and was a top pick for 2003 Debut Artist by the Freeform American Roots DJ Chart.
Members of Little Sadie for the first album included: Tyler Grant on guitar, Clayton Campbell on fiddle and mandolin, Amanda Kowalski on bass, and Steven Sandler on percussion. Adrienne stitched together new band members for her second album, The Art of Virtue.
