Social Distortion

I love Social Distortion. The band kicked butt. The sound quality at the union event center is horrible. It always sounds so quiet and distant. The venue makes bands sound like a high school talent show. It’s junk. They need to invest some money into sound quality upgrades. Was a fun show overall.

In no world does social distortion open for bad religion. Least of all a small venue in Detroit where people were still lined up to get in when they started. Mike needs to take the reins here and just assign bad religion opening duties. They are not on the same level and when a ticket costs $45 plus outrageous $22 fees, I don’t want to miss even a minute of social d!

Row 103 B First off, this was possibly the nicest venue I have ever seen a concert at....this place had everything you could possibly need. Great food, great drinks, and super nice staff. As usual, Social D put on a great show and the new songs are amazing. Props to Lovecrimes as well for also putting on a good show. If you were there post or send pics!

Dave Hidalgo 5 ripping songs! That’s what we got through before they pulled the plug on the show due to lightning storms. Sorry, Austin! Hopefully we can make it up to you guys soon! Absolutely INCREDIBLE. All 3 bands were in top form, amazing crowd and the venue was top notch. Was the perfect match up of big venue show but small venue feel. 10/10 the line up couldn’t have been more perfect. The crowd was hyped - the pit was insane - can’t wait to go again!

This was an incredible show. Unfortunately, the Pavilion at Toyota Music Complex refused to turn the air conditioning on even though the doors were closed and the arena was hotter than Satan's bunghole. This is the third show at Toyota Music Complex I have been to that was unbearably hot. I won't be going back again.

So while the last minute change of venue ment that all of a sudden the show was sold out and many people couldn't make it anymore because of the floods and damage caused by cyclone Gabriel the bands came out to a packed if not intimate venue of The POWERSTATION. It was great seeing Social Distortion play a set that started with a nice bit of high energy. It felt like they slowed down with some melodic tunes before ramping back up to some of their biggest hits. Being in the mosh pit and not being afraid of holding up my phone for photos and videos was a nice surprise. And while photos were taken most of the time everyone was watching the band and not a screen. It was great having Mike talk to the fans telling them that the venue was limited to a Decibel rating because people live around there. Someone should slip the DB guy a roofee and make more noise. He told us of as a youngster he had an active imagination and enjoyed learning something in skool. (Who knew punks payed attention in class) he had plenty to say throughout the night and while sight seeing was limited due to bad weather he got to go for a swim... although not at a beach. But in all honesty he said kiwis are resilient people. When bad religion came on the energy went wild. More pushing and shoving jumping and cheering the crowd loved the pace that was set. Jay early on mentions that he needs his pick a bit longer as a fan must have been asking for it. Again things calmed down for a bit but ramped up with smash hits. With bad religion we had a bit of banter on stage between the members and also a few nice things said about the people of NZ. They left the stage ten till eleven but left the blue lights on. Jay comes out after some cheering from the crowd and says to the other guys it's their fault (meaning us fans) Greg quips that we(the peoples) noticed that they missed one,Jay questioned one? But no-one engaged as they ripped out a couple more hits from the beginning. I love a punk show.

Fantastic show, great mix of new (unreleased in fact) and old in the set list. Some differences each night, so it would be worth going multiple nights for hardcore fans. Johnny was missed - hoping for his timely return, but his temporary replacement is solid. Mike, Brent, and David are as amazing as ever.

Mike Ness is at the top of his game and couldn’t have sounded better. David, Brent and Jonny killed it! They sounded fresh and full of fight Ns you wouldn’t have guessed that they played this show after 8 weeks of touring. Go see them! Now.

WOW!!! I’m speechless! Best Guitar Sound I ever heard in a long long time (even better than SLASH at the same venue, I don’t joke!), That was generally just a magic night of nice & true music at it’s best..! Very big thanks Social D and all the crew for the hard work & the outstanding show; (especially to the sound engineers) I hope I’m able to see you again as soon as possible !

Fantastic. Venue was perfect, being outdoors in front of the Hall was beautiful, the sound was crisp and loud, and Social D put on a damn good show. Specific to Cleveland, not just going through the motions. And I’ve seen them enough times to know. It was a Great night except for one thing: not enough vendors. the beer lines were 30-40 people deep. And they were mixed in with people ordering food, which made the wait even longer.

The bands all get 5⭐️ and were amazing!!! Especially since they had to move their show to a different venue. For the most part, security and staff were awesome, but there were a few that were completely unprofessional. The lack of provisions and accommodations that were made for the VIP FRONT ROW package was dismal at best. We Still had a blast listening to the bands!

Look, if you don't know about these bands, take a freaking chance because all 4 were absolutely incredible! Yes, I've seen Social D and Flogging Molly before and both are just amazing! The Devil Makes Three will impress the crap out of anyone that knows talent when they see it even if the genre isn't your cup of tea because they're well rehearsed and put on a tight, extremely talented performance. Le Bucherettes have an extremely different sound and the drummer is absolutely off the chain talented. Not to say that the remainder of the band isn't talented because they are out on a limb with their sound so they're taking chances. It works if you keep an open mind. I enjoyed all of the bands in this show so much that I would indeed travel to another state to enjoy this show again. That might not seem like high honors but I'm a punk rock guy that was in punk rock bands that performed in the downtown Atl area in the mid to late 90's. So, needless to say, I've seen a ton of incredible bands that most people will never see in their lives because many are gone now. Those shows made indelible marks on me as a young adult, an adult, and some now as I'm becoming an old man. I promise you I have a very good insight into what's awesome and what isn't and if you're on the fence on attending this show, pay the money. You'll be extremely happy that you did.

One of those shows that reminded me why I go to shows. I was tired all day, dragging my feet before getting ready, and felt guilty taking the night off from work. But I had so much fun and was so impressed with how amazing Social D sound live - after all these years 🖤

Another awesome show with a near never ending set. In case anyone notice give props to the Brooklyn Bowl the background music line up was spot on with era perfect punk tracks. I just saw Dropkick at park theatre and the background music was fucking panic at the disco type crap. So ty Brooklyn Bowl for knowing the atmosphere. Nice to hear the announcement of a new album!

The show was great, but the House of Blues has really changed a lot in terms of their seating/standing room since I was last there. They really oversold tickets so it was hard to even move in the place you were standing, let alone if you wanted to move through the crowd for any reason. But the band put on a fantastic show despite the venue being not so great. I feel like if this had been a slightly bigger venue or slightly less oversold, it would've been a lot more enjoyable.

The show was absolutely amazing!!! Jade and her band were phenomenal!!! The only complaint I have is not with the show but the crowd. Why is it not okay to dance and jump up and down when amazing songs are played? The people around us got really upset when we got excited and started dancing. Back in the day if you did not want to be "in the mix" you went to the back, not the front ruining everyone else's time. Despite these Debbie downers, memories were made! Great times!

I cant believe the difference in the crowd from 20 years ago to today. Back then it was fun in the pit. it was known that if you were to be in the pit you were prepared for anything. Yesterday people next to me were arguing because a girls hair was whipping them in the face as she danced. Also the person next to me kept apologizing every time she bumped into me. Come on man, its a mosh pit, your supposed to bump into people. It was depressing to see what the crowd has become.

This show rocked the house. I had a blast ! The venue was excellent easy to find and parking was free . Mike Ness was authentic the band sounded tight and those back up singers.... What a group. I wish I was going to Europe to see them. Mike came out rocking the "story of my life " second in the line up. I won't forget this show.
