About Tears Of Martyr

Tears of Martyr was formed back in the late 90’s in Canary Islands (Spain). At that time the band had a Doom Death Metal signature but they already showcased all the key elements that can be easily identified nowadays, like distinctive use of vocals and classical orchestration arrangements in their songs which they use to mesmerize and capture audience attention.
Even though Metal scene in their home country was rather small, the band kept growing and earned some respect from the national media and attracted an ever-increasing fan base. They released a couple of demos, were featured on several compilations, and also had the chance to open for international bands like Dark Tranquillity, To/Die/For or Swallow The Sun. In 2007 the band moved to Madrid, Spain, and finally recorded their studio debut “Entrance” in 2009, which was released via the German independent label STF in 2010. The album received very positive feedback from the international media.

In 2012, Tears of Martyr entered New Sin Studios in Loria, Italy, where they recorded their second full-length album “Tales” along with producers Luigi Stefanini and Enrik García (Dark Moor). “Tales” was released in 2013 under German Metal label Massacre Records.

With their latest album Tears of Martyr has rounded their sound finding a perfect balance for the listener, who will be again immersed in a journey where emotions always play a leading role.

The band has also shared the stage with important Metal acts like Therion, Epica, Draconian or Dark Moor, and has been on tour with Xandria and Sister Sin. They have toured with “Tales” across Mexico and have shared the stage with Swiss metallers November-7 in a European tour during 2016. The band is currently working in the songs that will be part of their third studio album.
