When Crystal Stark performs, she doesn’t just take the stage – she owns every part of it. The American Idol semi-finalist got her start singing in her home town of Tucson, Arizona, but has expanded her reach to international audiences in recent years. In addition to performing on a national tour with fellow Idol competitor Katharine McPhee, during which she appeared on shows such as The Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live, among others, Crystal has headlined music festivals, toured Central America and Asia with big band ensembles, been a featured performer with the Vegas-based Divas3, and starred in numerous tribute concerts. Most recently, she played keyboard and sang back-up with Grammy ® and Academy® Award-winning artist Jon Batiste. With shows that pay homage to legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, and Aretha Franklin, as well as current superstars Beyonce, Adele, and Lady Gaga, Crystal’s range knows no limits. When not dazzling audiences, Crystal is CEO and lead instructor of Crescendo Vocal School –– a studio committed to helping singers of all ages and abilities grow their voices in a healthy and fun environment. She relaxes by hanging out in her ah-maz-ing backyard and planning the next series of home improvement projects with her husband, Bill, and her two adolescent sons – the only two people on the planet with as much energy as her.
