About The Replicants
The Replicants – More Human Than Human – Covers by Design. Formed by accident in November 2015 when Paddy O’Hare was offered a gig at The Railway, Greenfield and didn’t feel like playing alone. Paddy got in touch with drummer Jack Sadler, who he had played with at a jam session once, and he recommended bass player Nic Southwood. As a fun experiment Paddy sent over 2 x 45 minute sets worth of cover songs to Jack and Nic, and suggested they meet at the venue and just crack on without a rehearsal. The chemistry was instant, and they decided to play together more often.
Taken from the cream of Manchester musicians, the guys are involved in many other musical projects, but come together at least once a month to jam for audience's across the North West. In June 2016 they became the first band in history to play Queen’s iconic “Flash” theme song to Sam J Jones, Flash Gordon himself, at the Dinner With The Stars event for Rochdale Sci Fi Convention Dale Con. Sam, leading a standing ovation, described them as; “Astounding” we are sure you will agree!
