Daniel Luttick

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Daniel Luttick's passion for music began at the age of five. He has spent over twenty-five years mastering his skills, developing and moulding his ideas on the drums, studying with highly reputable and renowned local and international players, notably, Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, Joe Morello and Virgil Donati. A focus on technique, endurance, showmanship and double bass drumming shape Daniel's heavy style. In 2002, Daniel was voted "Australia's Up and Coming Drummer" competition winner and has appeared in DRUMscene Magazine (Australia) and Modern Drummer Magazine (USA). As drummer for Melbourne based Industrial Metal band, Synthetic Breed, Daniel has also recorded and toured with various Australian and international rock, metal and fusion artists, including Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Aggressive Dogs (Japan), Illuminus, CELL, Lucy’s Crown and his solo fusion project Xtreme Measures. Daniel has performed at drum festivals and clinic events in South America, Japan, Korea and has played support to a Steve Smith (Journey) UK clinic tour. As a writer for DRUMscene magazine, Daniel has conducted interviews with many of the biggest names in the industry, including: Daniel Erlandsson (Arch Enemy), Tomas Haake (Meshuggah), Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad), Mike Wengren (Disturbed), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden) and Ray Luzier (Korn) to name a few.
