About Cameron Lee

A North Carolina native who found a home in Nashville, Tennessee. Singer-songwriter, Cameron Lee combines the isolated sound of the smoky mountains with classic blues roots. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Cameron moved to Nashville in 2015 to pursue a career in music. His family background in classical-music rooted his songs, but it is still shaped by the soul of Nashville. His songwriting ranges from downfall to growth to each of the beautiful and destructive outcomes of life. Cameron Lee Pierpont is a singer-songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on March 7, 1997 in. He wrote and released a self-produced album in 2012 when he was 15 and performed solo shows in Charlotte until he moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2015 to attend Belmont University with a major in Music Performance. Songwriting was always a small part of his career as an artist, but became a true passion when he left Belmont’s music program to focus on songwriting and major in Music Business. After a few years of songwriting he had enough material to begin the recording process. He released his first demo tape Neap Tide in the Spring of 2018, produced by guitarist, Aaron Pierce. Following the seasonal switch from colder weather to warm, the songs were written in reflection of past experiences on the Carolina coast. Incorporating Hawaiian lap steel and acoustic guitar, “Reel Me In” is reminiscent of the summer season, while “Pray” focuses on a the struggles of a relationship. The title track, “Neap Tide” seems to fuse the two, in truthful reflection of the overall experience. His second demo tape, Used To Be was released in January of 2019. Written in the winter months, Used To Be takes on a more somber tone, ultimately written to further showcase his songwriting style. It was minimally self-produced and contains only acoustic guitar and vocals to mimic the vulnerability of the songwriting. The tape is centered around a past relationship, and the developmental process that follows its end.
