Independent singer-songwriter & producer Laela Giovanna hones in on her intimate, emotive & reflective musical style as her self-produced sophomore EP “Unapologetically Me” is set to release this year.

“My first EP “Acoustic Sounds”, which I released back in 2019, was very stripped down & acoustic driven. With this new EP, I explore my sound and experiment a bit with who I am as an artist. I was in a very vulnerable state when creating these songs. I cried, laughed and just about everything in between. What you will hear is a collection of my thoughts, feelings, emotions, heartbreaks, loss, and memories . It's me being honest with myself and not apologizing for who I am or how I feel at any given moment. My hope is that this project will inspire my fans to be themselves, unapologetically."

While she continues to work on her original projects, Laela has released a variety of cover songs gaining over 500k streams across the major platforms. No stranger to live shows, she has grazed the stage of many legendary venues like The Apollo Theater, The Bitter End & Rockwood Music Hall. Post pandemic, she plans to hit the road for her first East Coast tour as well as continue her performances with Sofar Sounds, following in the footsteps of Sofar alumni like Clara Cava, Emily Burghelea, & Clinton Kane.
