OMG, the incomparable Randy Rainbow did not disappoint! He uses his videos as backup vocals and sings the lead live, has multiple costume changes, and all-in-all puts on a first-rate show.
Sat in the 4th row which was close enough to feel like a part of the show but without having to sit w my head tipped all the way back to see.
The Shubert is a lovely old theater, but was built for a time when humans were smaller; the seats were comfortable enough but quite close together, kind of like economy class on a plane. But it was a short flight (90 minutes), so not intolerable.
There's only a few dates left, so if you haven't gone yet you really need to.

Randy Rainbow was fabulous, as usual. His new “Randy for President “ tour is hilarious and engaging. What a great crowd to enjoy the show with… The Seattle LGBTQ community was out and proud as well as with their straight friends and family. I was happily surprised to see so many Gen X and baby boomers in the crowd. Randy is definitely one of the best showman, sporting amazing costumes that match his sparkling personality and pitch perfect voice. A big shout out to the back up band too… the piano player was amazing. Randy runs a well run show, definitely worth seeing again. Randy for President! 🙌🤣

Your face will hurt from laughter. Your hands will sting from applauding. Randy has a voice that belongs on Broadway. His political song lyrics to show tunes can’t be beat. He bubbles over with personality and just plain cuteness. If he comes your way , get those tickets fast. And the VIP tickets are well worth it! And yes, you should write his name in for President. The country would be much better, happier and better dressed!

Randy was a breath of fresh air, a shot in the arm, he was incredibly talented and absolutely amazing to see live. A great man who does a great show, and watching him perform is an amazingly joyful experience. Please come back soon Randy - I think you had most every liberal on Eastern Washington in the house last night, and we need all of the mental and metaphysical little bits of Randy’s humor to keep us going!

The Chicago Theater was a great venue for seeing Randy Rainbow. He was nothing short of FABULOUS!!! I wasn't sure how he would be in person, but he lived up to my highest hopes. His band was GREAT and how he managed the LARGE screen and costume changes was flawless! I was truly impressed!! AND not only that. he performed non-stop for an hour and three quarters NON STOP-
no intermission!!!!! We howled the entire time!!! THANK YOU RANDY!!!!!!!!!

I am an avid fan and was so excited to see Randy Rainbow at the Beacon Theatre, but sadly, I didn't get to the show. NJ Transit had problems and instead of a 45-minute train ride to Penn Station, I was on the train for 2 1/2 hours arriving at Penn Station at 8:pm! I decided to turn around and go home to NJ, but no trains were running so I took the PATH to Hoboken and a 40-minute LYFT ride home. I hope to see Randy Rainbow in a futre show. I gave 5 stars because I know I would have loved it - oh well.

R squared is a cute (my spouse's words) and wonderful entertainer!
We loved being at the Warner Theater for the first time to see him live.
We felt that the cost for the meet and greet was not worth what we paid.
What was called a "Meet and Greet" was no more than what we at
Penn State University call a "post performance talk".
We totally understand that R squared needed to be protected
behind ropes and the podium and we felt very rushed and the picture taken was not great.
Plus, we had (4) in our group, and believe that we should have gotten more than
(1) picture.
Thank you for your consideration.

I love love love Randy Rainbow. He's a brilliant satirist and parody lyric writer. I laughed for 2 long hours and did to issues at home, I really needed those 2 hours to laugh and not think.
My only complaint was the VIP meet & Greet. Those tickets cost more than the show. It was billed as "a private q&a session with Randy, followed by a photo op". First randy was walked off from us being a barricade. So the photo op was kind of weird, we stood more front, him behind. And then... there was nothing. "Here's your hat what's your hurry". There was NO kind of Q&A whatsoever, there wasn't even time to ask "how your cat?". Q&A was billed as the majority of the after show with Randy, followed by photos. Except it never happened. Not a single q or a. Our photo was taken and we were down the door. I don't think we were in there 10 minutes. Frankly, I felt ripped off- the q&a tix were more than the show this, and all I got was a quickie snapshot. I was really looking forward to the q&a and I'm miffed it never happened. It think the venue owes is a $75 refund in the VIP tickets, because it was not at all as billed or described. (When we met Randy in 2016, he was lovely, came out to the theater, talked to every single person, asked their name, put his arm round your shoulders. We got great photos and felt a kinship). The 2023, we might have been in a different room for all the difference it made. No talking, no introductions, a soulless snapshot and no advertised q&a.
See the show, don't waste your money on vip.

The show was great, but the VIP portion was a waste of time. Randy spoke to us from the stage, and we were not allowed to get “too close” to him, the photo session was him standing six feet from us while he stood behind a podium and a rope barrier. I stood closer to the Pope than I did with Randy. It was insulting. Don’t waste your money on a “VIP” experience unless you want to be disappointed. Also, the picture the photographer posted on line was awful. It looked as if we were standing with a cardboard cut out. Just go see the show and pass on the VIP experience.
Palm Desert, CA@McCallum Theatre
I have to only give it three stars, unfortunately.
RANDY was GREAT - however, the price charged for the VIP experience was outrageous. We bought what we THOUGHT were front row seats and the venue added two additional rows of folding chairs IN FRONT OF US after we purchase our tickets. This venue is NOT ADA compliant. The staff have no clue how to assist someone with a physical disability. They do not even know where the ADA washroom(s) are! There are no doors that open easily. The VIP experience consisted of a lanyard and a 9x12 'poster' that was signed. We were supposed to interact with Randy - that was impossible to stay in the seats we were in. The Will Call door was blocked by people who had tickets and were waiting to get into the venue. Those who HAD TO GET WILL CALL because the PROMOTERS INSISTED WE GET THERE TWO HOURS EARLIER for the 'experience' couldn't get their tickets OR GET TO THE 'Check in' table - all just ridiculous.
See Randy - especially if you are a liberal. Just DON'T SEE HIM AT GENESEE THEATRE

Randy Rainbow was fantastic!! I would go and see his show over and over again. He is funny charming and filled to the brim with humor and he had the audience in stitches. I cannot recommend seeing his show enough. Get tickets and go see him live as soon as you can. It will be an evening that you will never forget.
Randy Rainbow rocks!!!!!!

Fantastic show -- he's a great performer. We could have stayed all night, and would go again in a heartbeat.
We paid for VIP seats -- which were great. However, the photo op was a train wreck, totally disorganized, so we couldn't stay and kill an extra hour while the staff figured out how to form a line. And he only answered a few questions -- we would have rather had more 'talk time' and forget the photo, or give us a book or CD for the extra money.

I would’ve liked Randy to talk more and show less videos since we see the videos all the time on YouTube or Facebook. I would’ve liked to have heard him talk about the recent hearings and results.
None of our group could understand his words when he sang because the band was too loud or the acoustics were not working. It did help when there were some videos that had the captions.

My sister and I drove 3 1/2 hours just to witness brilliance and the wittiness and the charm of the most talented musical political parodies done by Randy Rainbow… We had great seats, he charmed the crowd with interactions that were hysterical… way above exceeded our most highest expectations. If you want an evening full of fun, talent, political parity this is a absolute must attend event
Eugene, OR@Hult Center for the Performing Arts
The show was great, and Randy was great. The sound was not. Not sure what the issue was - we were sitting on the floor in section 5, and so much of the talking was muffled or garbled. The songs were better. We were glad most of it had subtitles on the screen; otherwise, we would have missed the words on much of the program. Not sure if it was Randy's problem or not - pretty sure it was the Moody's.

I was so excited to see this show. I have loved Randy's videos. I thoroughly enjoyed attending an event with others who enjoyed Randy's video as much as I did. There are two things that I think would improve the show. First, Randy started a half hour late. There was no apology or explanation why. That's rude. Secondly, Randy's videos and humor are all about current topics. I think the show needs to be updated. This past summer had so many monumental political policies put in place - both good and bad - and to not address those made the show feel a bit dated. One of my favorite parts of the show was when Randy took questions from the audience. Seeing an unscripted Randy made him feel very relatable and personable. Overall, I'm glad I went to the show. Randy was such a life saver during Covid. I loved hearing from someone who was just as aghast as I was with what was happening in DC. And, our family are huge Barbra fans and I always feel like I can sit down and have a coffee with anyone who loves her as much as we do.

Love his work on Youtube, but the live performance was very disappointing. Show started 25 minutes late. The sound and acoustics were so off that we couldn't understand him. As we were departing the theater, I overheard several other audience members make the same complaints. The best part of the show was when he wasn't performing live and just his videos were viewed (as they were audible and clear), but I could have stayed home and just watched them online.
Again, VERY talented artist, but the live performance suffered from the technical issues.

The performance was dynamic, although Mr. Rainbow was often drowned out by a superb, but over-amplified stage band. I left the concert not only wondering if I should have just streamed Mr. Rainbow’s vignettes at home, but incensed that neither apology nor reason was given for a concert that started thirty minutes late. But it did give someone the opportunity to take three staged promotional photographs of a purportedly enthusiastic audience.

Such a talent! Literally, is there anything Randy Rainbow can’t do? He’s a brilliant satirist with pitch perfect timing and has his pulse in the button of the current political landscape. Plus he has the timing of a well-seasoned comic and the vocal chops of a Broadway diva. These last 6 years have been tough and I don’t know how I would have made it through without him. Seeing him in person was such a treat. Please come back to Atlantic City soon, Randy. We love you!

Glitter from start to finish! The Madison crowd loved him. Lots of pink glasses in the audience. Randy's favorites on the big screen with live band and Randy singing along live. Questions section in the audience was weak; needs more staff with microphones in the audience, but Randy's full-length pegnoir was a winner! Concert was well-timed in advance of Randy's book release so there were many opportunities to promote PLAYING WITH MYSELF.
Randy is brilliant, talented and very funny. He found his unique niche in 2016 and now is a superstar. I hope he continues to find material to skewer as we progress.
My only complaint about the show was bad acoustics. We sat in the back, under the balcony, and had a hard time hearing Randy's live dialog.
