Junebug Spade

JUNEBUG SPADE, a quirky line-up of musicians founded by Peter Anthony Seay, are known more for their off-beat musical sensibilities than for conventional indie aesthetic. Their first two EP's (self titled, Fashion and Fame) were recorded at Bell Labs in Norman, Oklahoma by Trent Bell. They blend the enthusiasm of The Kinks, Oasis, and Built To Spill with classic Jagger/Richards riffs. In September 2011 JUNEBUG SPADE released their third EP, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, with the intention of maintaining creative progression. The five song EP was recorded by Sam Welchel. JUNEBUG SPADE have recently finished a European Tour with Built To Spill (Warner Brothers) after touring with them in the US in 2012-13. They have also shared the stage with OKGo, Surfer Blood, Neon Trees, The Lemonheads, The Warlocks, and also playing a showcase at SXSW in 2012. JUNEBUG SPADE released their debut album THE AGE OF LOVE on September 24th, 2016 on their label, Milkman Records.
