About Reset
Reset is the name of at least three totally different musical groups: one a Canadian punk band, one a Norwegian eurodance group, and a Japanese indie rock band. All three groups have tracks listed here, but the rest of this article is about the Canadian punk band.
Reset was formed in 1995 in Montreal, Quebec. Originally the band members were Pierre Bouvier, Philippe Jolicoeur, Charles-André "Chuck" Comeau and Jean-Sébastien Boileau. Reset recorded a demo tape : Concerned, in 1995.
Then came the first full length album: No Worries in 1997 recorded at Le Studio Morin-Heights. The band shot a video clip for the single “Why”. In 1999 Reset had a different line up. Pierre was now singing and playing bass, and a new member, Adrian White from Vancouver, joined to play drums with the punk rock band based out of Montreal. In 2000 they released No Limits. This album was recorded in Vancouver BC and was produced by Greg Reely.
Three video clips were filmed for No Limits: Pollution, Pressure, My Dream and I. David Desrosiers replaced Pierre Bouvier in 2001 but only to stay with the band for 6 months, leaving to join Simple Plan, already consisting of two previous band members, Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau.
In 2004, Reset came back with a third album : Radioactive. The album was produced, performed, mixed and mastered by Philippe Jolicoeur. The next year in 2005 RESET has a new line-up with Phil (guitars & vocals) Martin Gendreau (drums) and Claude Plamondon (bass & vocals).
Over the years Reset has participated in five Canadian tours and one American tour, the 2000 Vans Warped Tour in North America. Reset has played with bands such as Greenday, Nofx, Pennywise, Lagwagon, MxPx, Millencolin, Strung Out, Face To Face, Papa Roach, Ten Foot Pole and many more.
