This instrumental solo project came about while exploring the potential of the RC-20 loop pedal during The Year of the Tiger’s downtime. Initially, with just some simple layered-loops using guitars and a keyboard, I provided background guitar-ambience at a few local artwalks and Little Rock area events. Assembling a new multi-functional, multi-effects pedal board and incorporating the hot-off-the-shelf RC-300 Loop Station would shift the scope of the project up a notch and allow me to bring the production to the stage. While the RC-300 is the workhorse of the project hardware (and the evolution of layered sounds are being realized with music production software such as FL Studio) the focus is still the guitar. Employing non-traditional chord voicings and complementary layers, the guitars provide a melancholy contrast against trance-beats and house-inspired grooves. Acoustic /instrumental stuff.
