About Senser
With a back drop of free festivals, squat parties, acid raves and political upheaval, Senser forged their sound experimenting with beats, rhymes, guitars and a multitude of musical genres.
Releasing their own EP’s on cassette Senser were soon known for their political lyrics and a huge live sound which gained them headline slots at major UK and European festivals.
Signing their first record deal with independent label Ultimate Records in 1994 Senser achieved worldwide success with debut album ‘Stacked Up’ which peaked at number 4 in the UK album charts.
An intense long period of gigs, festivals and public appearances ensued. The band subsequently split having toured half the planet relentlessly.
After a long hiatus, in 2009 Senser wrote and recorded their fourth studio album ‘How To Do Battle’ working with producers Neil McLellan (The Prodigy), Jason Wilcox (You Me At Six, Reuben, Fightstar) and New York hip hop producer Scott Harding (Wu Tang Clan, New Kingdom). The album achieved major success with the rock press and fans and put the band back on the festival and touring circuit.
Planet Mosh summed it up perfectly: “With Senser back from the 90′s, I was worried that they might have brought the 90′s sound with them, they didn’t. The delivery was superbly tight and the room erupted into a mosh pit. This wasn’t 90′s, this was Senser showing other bands how the transition over decades can be done perfectly. Fully retaining their powerful roots yet managing to make every track sound fresh and new. Quite an achievement.”
In 2013 Senser successfully fan funded and released their 5th studio album ‘To The Capsules’ incorporating their unique fusion of rock, metal, hip hop and alternative electronica, staying true to the sound they have been producing since 1989.
With 2014 bringing in the 20th anniversary of the bands seminal debut album Stacked Up, Senser remastered and re-released their international hit album under the title ‘Stacked Up XX’. Remastered by John Dent, whose past mastered records have included Bob Marley, The Clash, Motorhead, The Smiths, The Pixies and The Prodigy to name just a few, Stacked Up XX had a new take on it’s original artwork, an array of remixes plus tracks from Senser’s 1995 unreleased 2nd album.
Currently writing, recording and touring – Senser continue with the same fearless creative ethos they’ve always held as a core belief bringing Senser fans the empowered sound they’ve come to expect.

“KKKK – top of our playlist” – Kerrang!
“9/10: Live performances such as this are true rarities. Senser fuckin smashed it” – Planet Mosh
“irresistible mash up of metal, trip hop and Prodigy-esque live beats” – Classic Rock
