Swans

I went into this show virtually blind. I had heard one song in the past and wasn’t a fan. My girlfriend is a huge fan, so I went with her and I’m so glad I did. I found myself absolutely lost in the music in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. I have no idea what the lyrics were and I don’t even care. The overall atmosphere was totally hypnotic. There were multiple occasions I found myself forgetting that other people were there. It was just such an ethereal experience. I plan on watching for more tour announcements in the future.

Quite possibly the most emotional, daunting, and exhilarating music experience I've ever had. This performance more closely resembled a religious exhibition than a concert. I was enthralled.

Felt spiritual the way the band was into their music. Multiple points during the night the music literally took my breath away. Bring ear protection, it’s the day after and my ears still hurt even though I had ear plugs.

Loudest show I’ve ever been to in my life. I think I may have briefly communed with a biblically accurate angel. Hypnotic. I was staring at Kristof’s butt the whole time, that man is adorable.

A phenomenal auditory experience that is unlike any other. Mr. G-Man surely knows how to make a man feels things unlike any other. Thank you for this opportunity. Never will experience anything like that again.

Cathartic, that is what it describes best. Nearly three hours and not one moment without tension. If you like their recent outingsl for its comparably mellow "peacefulness" - be warned. They take the songs, and level up each moment of them, extend the silence, extend the tension and lead to an explosion that will not yield to time. One of the most intense - and loud - concerts I ever attended, and surely worth every second of it. The choice of Maria W Horn as opening act was clever and prepared brilliantly for what was to come. Thank you, Michael Gira and band!

It was a superb performance, an amazing experience. I didn’t have even the will to get my phone and take some shots. The show demands you to be present! Unbelievable!!!

I saw Michael’s The Angels Of Light project in early 2000s and I’m a big fan of Swans since early 90s. I remember reading about Swans’ extremely loud concerts over and over but now I know that there are no words to describe how loud they actually are. It was two and a half hours of pure shamanic experience. It’s like standing on a subway platform while train is running near you for a prolonged period of time. Most likely even louder than that. Literally every single person around me was using earplugs. I’ll never forget absorbing Swans’ frequencies with my whole body. Powerful, occasionally angry and unforgettable. Long live Michael Gira!

Swans were great but crowd seemed not very friendly at all. Confrontational, maybe it's just me or is that the kind of people that Swans attract?

Most definitely the loudest show I've seen since a Dinosaur Jr. Club date in the 80s. Great to check this one off my bucket list and have the great, cathartic Swans experience!

We traveled a long way to Belfast so my son could hear his favorite artists live. An unforgettable evening in a church with good acoustics and great musicians. I have great respect for both artists and Michael Gira patiently signing autographs made my son's dream come true.

Beautiful concert in old medieval church. I am super happy to be there, Mr. Gira was signing the LP's etc. after the concert! My only regret is that due to the haste I forgot to ask for a sign also Mr. Hahn who was also performing that night and it was a stunning experience. Really appreciated both performances, thanks! :)

Thank you Mr. Westberg for making me float. Thank you Mr. Gira for your voice. I really appreciated the acoustic version of "New Mind". My only regret is for not bringing with me my copy of "Children of God" to be signed by Mr. Gira. Gira is an exquisite person, he was available after the concert to sign autographs and talking with fans.

Wow. Really a great gig. These guys really know how to make noise. My ears are still ringing, and it was *so* worth it!

Having attended over 60 concerts of various genres, I can genuinely state that Swans was the best I've ever experienced. It was absolutely brilliant.

Very intense show! I knew to bring earplugs but the intensity was not lost on me. Despite their amp blowing out mid-show it was still an incredible show! Also got to meet Michael Gira; he was a very chill guy but his very being still scares me.

Very nice concert @Vega. Great line up and a very fine combination of long numbers with massove noise overlay of droning guitars, trancelike rhythms and fine melodies deeply burried in the cacophony. Will definately recpmmend

Gira is God, Jesus and Elvis incarnate. His presence was terriftying yet humbling. He was kind enough to come down and sign records for people after the show, I had a quick chat with him and he gave my buddy a beer. You really can't ask for more.
