Emory has the potential to be the male version of Madonna. That is a strong statement but his confidence, talent and determination indicate such. Emory is a self-starter who keeps up with the ever-changing market of music, fashion, and entertainment thus giving you sounds from around the world. EMORY THE MUSICIAN Emory’s interest in music was cultivated from the get go. At 2 ½ years old in the middle of the night he managed to turn on the family’s component stereo system, find the Michael Jackson Thriller cassette among dozens in a drawer, locate the “Beat It” track, and blast the music throughout the house while bogeying in the living room. He collected cassettes and music videos like other young kids collected pokemon cards. He worked and trained with some very talented people in the business. Pilar and Deborah Winters helped Emory form his vocal styling and depth. Diana Canova helped Emory as an acting and singing mentor. Emory’s music is heavily influenced by the likes of Madonna, George Michael, The Beatles, Elton John, and Alanis Morissette. He has blended heart pounding sounds like Euro-American pop and club beats, Latin, Middle Eastern, and pop-rock while still maintaining a unique style all his own. Just like Madonna, he will continue to reinvent himself and always leave you wanting more. Emory composed the music and wrote the lyrics for all his original songs and did all the arrangements. EMORY THE DANCER Emory was inspired to dance at a young age. He dabbled in ballet and gymnastics and developed into a dancer. As young as ??? he idolized and studied the choreography and techniques of Tina Landon, Vincent Patterson, Wade Robson, Fatima Robinson and Jamie King, the choreographers for Janet Jackson, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears among others. In the words of internationally known dancer Doree Clark who Emory trained with: “This is how Emory became a technical and natural dancer.” EMORY THE ENTREPRENEUR Emory produces his own music as well as that of others he represents as the founder and owner of Haylstorm Entertainment Group. As a child, Emory would rent concerts and music videos instead of the normal comedy and action flicks his peers would watch. He studied the performances in depth. The first one he recalls is Madonna’s Blond Ambition World Tour. Not only did he study the music and choreography but also wanted to know who designed the sets, who choreographed the moves, who designed the wardrobes, as well as who show directors and band directors were … in other words, everything about the production of a tour. “If you want to sing and dance, you HAVE to be a business or brand” - Emory Emory is many things: singer, dancer, choreographer, producer, writer, arranger, and fashion designer. Triple threat has nothing on this multi-media talented artist. In addition to providing crowd-pleasing music, Emory is a well-rounded, down-to-earth individual who knows that life throws obstacles in your path. Life-experiences are what help him to grow as a person and an artist. Emory is committed to being a voice to those less fortunate. “I feel as a musician it is my job to ask questions, provoke thoughts and take my audience on an emotional journey.” – Emory Since 2000, Emory has completed 10 albums under his alias Haylstorm. Emory has been described as having the personality of P!nk, the vocal styling of Seal, George Michael, Robbie Williams & P!nk and the potential performance/showmanship of Madonna, Janet Jackson & Britney Spears … the male version of these pop stars.
