Steven Phillips and the Midnight Express is a group of musicians that have come together and formed one of the best country/southern rock bands you've heard in a long time. We have been promoted as follows: Steven is an incredible musician, comedian, story teller- he is sure to get your toe tappin' and thinker going while ticklin' your funny bone (Eastern Hotrodder Magazine). We also have a wide variety of original songs, with Lightning Road and Brayton Mountain getting high ratings. We have worked with Shooter Jennings and opened for Edwin McCain, Aaron Tippin, Paul Thorn, Kentucky Head Hunters , Love and Theft, Waymore's Outlaws, Diamond Rio, Confederate Railroad, Lee Greenwood, Matt Stillwell and many more. We have played the Georgia Theater and The Foundry in Athens Ga, Smoky Mountain Center for Performing Arts in Franklin North Carolina, Woodstock Summer Concert Series, The Gray Eagle in Asheville, NC, The Daisy Festival , Georgia Racing Hall of Fame/Mountain Moonshine Festival, First Friday Night Concerts Dahlonega Georgia, Homer Holiday Festival, Lake Blue Ridge Concert Series, Nicholson Georgia Independence Celebration Day, Thunder in the Smokeys Harley Rally, Cherokee North Carolina Summer Concert Series, Blairsville Summer Concert Series, Grant Street Music Room, Big League Camp Asheville North Carolina, Hoschton Fall Festival, Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Gainesville Georgia, and some places we would be ashamed to mention. I also have a morning talk show called The Morning Dish on WJUL 97. 7 and WJRB 95.1. For this morning show, I won the Gabby award for Personality of the Year in the state of Georgia in 2017. This talk show is rated number one in the Neilson ratings 2 years running and my listeners doubled last year. I use this show to promote all the shows that I do. Also I have a weekend show called Off the Beaten Tracks where I play music from bands that never get airplay.
