About Emperors of Rome
Former Sona Fariq guitarist and Lou Reed /Rufus Wainwright collaborator Dom Bouffard formed Emperorors of Rome with ex- Fifth Amendment frontwoman / Prodigy guitarist, Alli MacInnes in Berlin in 2017.
The London based duo, play a dark cocktail of Country, Folk and primitive Rock'n'Roll... as if the Velvets, Leonard Cohen and The Jesus and Mary Chain wrote the music to Twin Peaks.
Dom and Alli met on tour with their former outfits, Sona Fariq and Fifth Amendment, in the early 2000s. When their bands collapsed, the couple escaped to Berlin together. Inspired by the city's wild creativity, they started writing together in a disused East German radio station.
Their first album is a dark, brooding collection of tales of enchantment and loss, told through a dark lens of Rock'n'Roll, Urban-Folk and Americana.
