About Acoustic Foxx

Melbourne’s Acoustic Foxx might be simply described as an acoustic rock act with some great tunes. However, a closer examination reveals a repertoire of songs that each evoke an immediate and unmistakable sense of personal connection for both writer and listener. Acoustic Foxx manages to capture situations of love, loss, and everything in between in a way that is at once both universal and intimate. It was during the spring of 2012 that Acoustic Foxx, the creative voice of Melbourne based guitarist, singer, and songwriter Craig Williams was first born/heard. Initially in venues all around Victoria and Tasmania playing alongside some of Australia’s finest talent and then on his debut EP ‘Silence in Circles’. Like many musicians before him, Craig’s passion for music was born early listening in on his father’s Beatles records and holding his Uncle’s guitars, and was soon inspired to play guitar and inevitably start a band. Craig cut his teeth playing in hard rock bands Precious Nothing and Ownkind playing shows all over Victoria and releasing various studio recorded EP’s with each band. In the background, he was also busy writing solo acoustic songs which led to releasing a couple of solo EP’s with accompanying videos under the name Craig Williams. In the aftermath of the hard rock bands, Craig decided to take this solo venture 10 steps further creating a new identity, starting from scratch by stepping out into the world as Acoustic Foxx. It has been a very eventful couple of years for Acoustic Foxx since the release of his debut EP Silence in Circles in late 2012, releasing the first single and video of the same name. Supporting the release with a hectic schedule of performances both solo and with his newly recruited band. Following that up soon after with the release of a second single and accompanying video for the moody acoustic rock track ‘Bones’. As Acoustic Foxx continued promoting his debut EP and playing live shows in Melbourne and Interstate, he was busily writing songs and crafting demos for what would become the ambitious debut album “Guiding Light”. Released in early 2016 with its first single & video ‘Practiced Goodbyes’ it was supported again with a busy run of shows and gained positive reviews of the album. “Let us Pray” would be the second single and video from the album with the video being described as “dark and brooding magic”. AMNplify describe it as “an incredibly mysterious and dark acoustic-folk track, is truly matched in the creation of its music video”. Acoustic Foxx plans to hit the studio to record new material in early 2018. acousticfoxx.com.au New single & video "LET US PRAY" out now "..both the song and the video portray a dark and mysterious vibe" - Forte Magazine
