Ultrawurscht

GER: Seit Ende 2004 heißt der ultimative Angriff auf Gaumen, Zwerchfell und Gehör„ULTRAWURSCHT“! Die vier Herren aus Bayern und Österreich hatten anno dazumal das Verlangen via Musik Wurstwaren zu huldigen und Molkereiprodukte zu schmähen, und setzen das seitdem mit einem Brät aus Grindcore, Death Metal und Hardcore , mit Einflüssen von Leng T’che über Aborted bis Skinless und Terror um. Die dazugehörigen Texte kommen teils im englischen, teils im bayrisch-österreichischen Sprachgewand daher, sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht und strotzen vor Nonsens sind jedoch keine Vorraussetzung für den Genuss des Endprodukts. Für dieses Stilistik –Verhackerte hat sich seither der Audruck „Wurschtcore“ eingebürgert. Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres in Eigenregie produzierten Albums „Dawn of the new Sauce-Age“ im Dezember 2006 spielte die Band im zahlreiche Club- sowie Festival-Auftritte in Deutschland und Österreich mit Bands wie Unleashed, Tankard, Ensiferum, Legion of the Damned, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Behemoth, Born from Pain, Heaven shall burn, Sodom, Aborted, Mambo Kurt, Mastic Scum, Machinemade God u.v.m. ,und machte sich neben der tighten musikalischen Darbietung auch stark durch ihre groteske Live-Show voller schräger Gags wie durch Bazookas verballerter Würste, Wettessen, Konfettiexplosionen, bizarrer Ansagen oder der aberwitzigen Bühnendeko, einen Namen, der neben aller Blödelei auch für allerfeinsten Death/Grind steht, der sich auch vor der weniger humorvollen Konkurrenz keineswegs zu verstecken braucht. Das neue Album „Cheese-Ass built my Hot Dog“ wurde schließlich Anfang 2008 im SSR Studio von Martin Zeller (Thirdmoon, Godhatecode uvm.) aufgenommen, angenehm knallend in Szene gesetzt und wird am 26.9.2008 europaweit veröffentlicht. Es zeigt Ultrawurscht wieder um einiges stärker und vielseitiger, und weist etwas mehr Einflüsse aus dem Death Metal Sektor auf als das vorangegangene Album. Auch vor Volksmusik und Schlager – Einsprängseln, die das äußerst schnell ausgefallene Album auflockern, wurde nicht zurückgeschreckt. Generell geben sich hier furiose Blasts, liebevoll ausgearbeitete Lyrics, variabler Gesang von kraftvollen Grunts über Hardcore-mäßige Shouts und natürlich Dr. Mett Wurschts unverkennbarem Geplärr und messerscharfes Riffing sich die Klinke in die Hand. Mit diesem Album im Gepäck und Stumpfsinn im Schädel sollte es Ultrawurscht möglich sein die Death/Grind Szene um ein Novum zu bereichern, das dem offenen Teil der Szene und auch jedem anderen geneigten Hörer durchaus ein Grinsen ins Gesicht und einen Krampf in den Nacken zaubern könnte. Back in the day the four Gentlemen from Germany and Austria felt the urge to praise the sausage and blaspheme the cheese through a sound that could be described as a mixture of Grindcore, Death Metal and Hardcore with influences ranging from Leng Tch’e or Aborted to Skinless and Terror. Along with this music there go lyrics partly in English, partly in German language, that are made with a lot of love for the detail and emphasis on nonsense, but are not mandatory for the consumption of the final product. Soon the term “Wurschtcore” became common for this sound. After the release of their self-produced debut „Dawn of the new Sauce-Age“ in December 2006, the Band played a whole lot of Club- and Festival-shows in Germany and Austria with Bands like Unleashed, Tankard ,Ensiferum, Legion of the Damned, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Behemoth, Born from Pain, Heaven shall burn, Sodom, Aborted, Mastic Scum ,Machinemade God etc. whereas particularly their grotesque live-show filled with weird gags like shooting off sausages with a bazooka, eating-contests, confetti-explosions, bizarre behaviour or the ludicrous stage-decoration, helped the band make a name of themselves, that stands for finest Death/Grind, that doesn’t need to fear comparison to their less humorous colleagues. In early 2008 the new album „Cheese-Ass built my HotDogwas finally recorded and mixed at the SoundSpurReocords-studios in Austria (Thirdmoon, Godhatecode etc.). It shows Ultrawurscht from a yet fitter and eclectic side, with a little more emphasis on Death Metal, than their previous output. They didn’t even shy at using influences from Austro-Pop or German Folk, in order to aerate the very fast album. Generally furious Blastbeats are accompanied with lovingly elaborated lyrics, variable vocals ranging from powerful grunts over Hardcore-like shouts to Dr. Mett Wurscht’s unmistakeable screaming. Finally the perfect Partner to promote the album was found in BadLand Records/ Twilight , and make it possible to allow the album to put a smile on the open-minded (Death) Metal and Grind freak’s face and some sores on his neck.
