Pink Martini

I have seen Pink Martini many times, and they are always fabulous! Thomas Lauderdale’s tribute to the 100th year since Rhapsody in Blue was penned was absolutely stunning. And all the band members including China Forbes, Timothy Nishimoto are extraordinary. The newest members of the ensemble, Jimmie Herrod and Edna Vazquez, sung their hearts out much to our delight! I can’t say enough about what a joy it was to attend this concert, especially with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra!

Pink Martini is always fabulous. Tons of energy. Beautiful music. This was our first time seeing them at the McCallum Theatre. It's small, every seat is wonderful, and parking is a breeze. Pink Martini will be back in two years, and so will we. We will also see them again the next time they are in OUR town.

Pink Martini is always an upbeat experience. I've been attending their concerts for about 15 years. They usually have some guest musicians or singers and last night was no exception. Two powerhouse singers joined China Forbes and they were amazing: Edna Gonzales from Mexico and Meow Meow from "somewhere in Europe" as China said. The show was especially funny with China and Meow Meow and deep belly laughs were common among the audience. They are not to be missed!

This was my 30th show with Pink Martini. Their shows never disappoint me. Excellent musicians and wonderful styles of songs. Their sound people always has the sound perfect! The staff at the Chandler Arts Center were great, laughing and full of smiles. The audience definitely enjoyed the performance as much as I did..

J'ai beaucoup aimé profité du talent du jeune chanteur, malheureusement son nom m'échappe, que j'avais vu à AGT. J'ai beaucoup aimé la voie de la nouvelle venue. Un seul Bmol, j'aurais pris 2 ou 3 autres chansons. Le concert fut un peu trop court. Vous savez, lorsqu'on anticipe un concert plusieurs mois à l'avance et que c'est un groupe qu'on adore, on en a besoin d'un brin plus. Suzanne

Merveilleux spectacle de Pink Martini et de China Forbes hier soir au Casino de Gatineau. Je les avais vu à deux reprises su Festival de Jazz d'Ottawa, mais ce n'est pas la même chose à l'intérieur dans une salle avec un bon acoustique. Et Thomas Lauderdale et China Forbes ont montré beaucoup de respect pour les francophones en présentant toutes leurs chansons en français. Et quel rythme dans cet orchestre. Magnifique.

The whole evening was spectacular. This was my first time at this venue (from Portland) and I definitely will return. The staff was extremely helpful. The music was fantastic. It would help if there were signs identifying the parking lot as we entered and exited through different entrances/exits and got a little turned around.

Amazing venue in gorgeous surroundings (botanic garden) the sound quality was excellent the food vendors were varied and lovely. The band was just so tight and spot on - their voices are like buttah. Such an uplifting and wonderful experience all ending with a CONGA LINE. Fun, fabulous and this band is the shyt!!! :)

Pink Martini was wonderful! The quality of the musicians and vocalists was amazing. China Forbes and Thomas Lauderdale (pianist) have written amazing music too. The songs were truly global. China sang so many different languages perfectly!! Loved the Reilly Arts Center too. It was comfortable and easy to get to. Free parking! The drinks were reasonably priced. We went with friends and we keep saying we can't believe how much fun we had! Can't wait to see them again!

I have always enjoyed Pink Martini but getting to see them with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra was amazing. China Forbes has an amazing voice, couple that with Thomas Lauderdale on piano and it’s an unforgettable evening. That certainly is not to discount the rest of the group. Every member plays perfectly and adds to their amazing sound. They started with Bolero with full symphony accompaniment and finished with their signature Brazil complete with conga line. What a fantastic concert. If you have the opportunity, go see them, you won’t be disappointed.

This was the third time we saw Pink Martini in 13 months. And second time at the Mahaffey Theater. We travel from Buffalo, New York each time to see them. The venue is the perfect theater for Pink Martini with excellent acoustics regardless of your seat. Its also clean, modern and staff very friendly with convenient parking. As for Pink Martini...they were fabulous as always!!! Love China Forbes and Thomas Lauderdale. Was so happy that Jimmy was there again...his voice brings me to tears. They played most of our favorites. Picking requests for the second half of show was something new for us but was fun with their attempts to read the messages. And we witnessed a proposal! That was a first! We also brought guests with us this year and they are now new fans!

Totally totally totally awesome! What connection with the audience. Lots of stories, variety, audience participation, and lots of dancing !!! Everything I expected and more. So joyful! The Eastern was the perfect venue. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house, you can see everything, and the acoustics are great. Can’t wait to see them again or go to another show there.

My wife and In traveled to Tuscon from Bay Area in Ca to take her son and daughter in law to see Pink Martini along with the Tuscon Symphony. As always the show was excellent and I really look forward to seeing them again soon. After seeing them at several different venues in several states solo and different symphonies over the last fifteen years they keep getting better than ever, but the addition of Edna and Jimmy has really been a blessing. Watching and listening to all the different members of Pink Martini has really opened my eyes and given me a whole new perspective on music in general. So much talent! Thank you all keep and keep it up.

I enjoyed the concert - so full of good music. I bought my ticket and booked my Hotel because it stated that Storm Large would be appearing but she didn't. I was very disappointed that Storm didn't perform as that was my reason for travelling to Edinburgh to see this show. On saying that, the music and concert by Pink Martini was really enjoyable.

I purchased 2 tickets to this show, but when my daughter & I arrived at the venue's box office to claim our tickets we were told that the concert was postponed till February. Very disappointing, especially since I received no email from ticketing alerting me to this change. Since we do not live in Atlanta, we drove 80 miles to see my favorite band. Since I cannot predict being available in February, I would like a refund for my tickets. Please email me how I can facilitate this. Diana Phillips

Our fourth show having enjoyed then in Philadelphia, Dallas and twice in FL. They never disappoint. Amazing they continue to perform with energy and passion. What a bonus to have Ari Shapiro perform as his voice is divine. I missed Elohai NTzor because he is unparalleled in his part. Edna great as always and the regulars kept us tapping our feet. The multicultural flair and scope of this group is so enjoyable. We hope to see you again next year!

Great show. They get better and better as time marches on. They are all very talented, like what they do, and committed to give great performances. Chyna Forbes voice is still spectacular and with the added voices of Ari Shapiro and Edna Vasquez makes them elite. Show seemed over so quick because each song was terrific and you became absorbed in it all. I hope they return to Naples.

Fabulous. All the artists featured gave wonderful performances. Even the musicians were given spots to perform. It was great to see them perform individually. A great show to celebrate their 25yrs. China, Meow and Thomas are so much fun to see on stage. Listen to their CD’s All the time

Awesome concert. So inclusive of the audience w letting them participate in the songs on stage and dancing behind the band. No pretension about who they are or why they are there - just love for celebrating great music from a diverse background. Love this group.

I truly enjoyed the show, although The Von Trapp performance was lovely, and the lonely Goatherd blew my mind! I felt a bit disappointed, and at some point somewhat tricked as I was expecting more from just the awesomeness of Pink Martini and got a lot more of the Dream a little dream album Overall it was a marvelous show
