Amalia Fleming is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Morro Bay, California. Her music has an alternative pop feel with creative lyrics and unique melodies to accompany her guitar playing. As winner of the 2017 Amalia Fleming is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Morro Bay, CA. She is referred to as a “Rising Singer-songwriter” in a New Times article, a “Renegade” in the Morro Bay Life Newspaper, and has been interviewed live on Cal Poly KCPR radio and KALW Radio in San Francisco.
Amalia spends a lot of her time volunteering at many environmental and social justice rallies to help bring awareness of global issues. She has performed for the 2017 Women’s March, Climate Change Strike, Immigrant Rights Rally, and March Walkouts for gun control. Her song "Renegades" is featured on a national protest compilation album titled ‘Raise Your Voice’ that she debuted October 2018 at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco. Amalia continues this artistic exploration of collaboration, personal growth, and activism while studying songwriting and music business at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
