Sistym

Australian artist Sistym has a propensity for rumbling low-end soundscapes where the sub rattles your rib cage. Growing up in Perth, she discovered D&B through religiously buying releases from labels such as Hospital Records and Shogun Audio at the local music store. Quickly falling in love with the deeper side of the genre, this new fast paced hyperfocus led her to pick up DJing, eventually resulting in playing on lineups with Andy C, Break and Alix Perez amongst many more.

Currently based in Melbourne, she is deeply involved in the city’s D&B community and is part of the roster for respected crew The Operatives. In 2023, she founded Midnight Request - an event brand focused on promoting local and international underground acts.

Sistym’s fondness of moody atmospheres and textures in combination with technical drum breaks and rolling basslines won her a place in the 2023 Overview Music & Dynamics production mentorship. Currently locked deep in the studio, her debut release Eyes Open / Fever Dream has been signed to Brisbane's 8Ball Audio imprint and there are more releases cooking in the pipeline ready to be unleashed.

Appearing at internationally renowned festivals such as Shambhala and Northern Bass as well as murking clubs across the UK and Europe, watch out for Sistym shelling down more dance floors around the globe soon.
