Alex was on top form at the Login Lounge last Thursday. His skill, as always, is to create an immediate emotional connection, simply by being on stage and delivering his heart-felt music in the most honest and authentic way possible. I just love his voice, with that raspy edge, brimming with sincerity. His guitar playing was as impressive as ever, however it does not overshadow his voice, which, for me, is the main event. He has a great bunch of musicians with him, each one giving depth and texture to the set. I particularly loved the slide guitar sound. Very Bluegrass. I loved every second of his short set. Do not miss Alexander McKay if he is playing hear you. It's a little taste of Nashville.

Such a fun night!! Was a really small intimate venue. The Alexander McKay band was amazing and I am so glad I managed to get tickets as the venue was sold out. They are not to be missed. Next playing locally in Camberley and Guildford

Loved Alexander McKay’s set - beautiful, catchy songs that are incredibly well written. Would love to hear him live again, absolutely worth seeing !

Loved seeing Alex with his full band. Was in thrall to the magnificent bass player. Cracking show. Funny guy as well as a great musician!! I’ll be back.

Went along for an impromptu night out and so glad I did. Great to hear Alex play on his home turf, support local live music and discover Robert Vincent. All in all, a great night out :)

Alex McKay and his band were amazing, the performance and sound quality were excellent, and The Star Inn was a great venue. Looking forward to booking tickets for the next one!
