Regarded as one of the most innovative polish bands, Miloopa received critical acclaim in 2008 after the second release ‘Unicode’ and many exciting live shows. Following three years of european touring (Sziget Festival, Be2gether Festival. Fete De La Musique Luxembourg United Islands of Prague .. ) exploring and redifining it’s identity, Miloopa is now coming back with the third longplay OPTICA, released on 26/11/11. Miloopa is pushing musical limits further than ever before. The organic nature of ‘Optica’ draws a picture of a band with no boundaries. Forward thinking is without a question the most noticable element as Miloopa goes into different directions at the same time. Their optics have been yet again focused on real analog instruments used to apply modern electronic ideas. The cooperation with renowned swiss producer Roli Mosimann (Faith No More, The Young Gods, Björk, Swans) has been a key factor for creating a distinctive – one of a kind – studio live sound. “Optica” has also become a ground for new collaborations since abstract hip-hop pioneers Anti Pop Consortium and norwegian guitarist Eivind Aarset have contributed their characteristic voices and unique personalities to the album.
