About The Film
After leaving 90s grunge band Molly Cliff, singer Bob Patrick went on to form The Film with former Molly Cliff guitarist Ryan Schmidt, bassist Aaron DeShaw and Drummer Micah Kassel in 1999. Together the band wrote over 50 songs in the next several years, including classics like Eastside, My Way Home, and Star 69. The band recorded at Jackpot Records with Larry Crane (Elliot Smith, The Decemberists), and later with Dave Friedlander (Prince, Pink Martini) at Kung Fu Bakery Studio. The band added Kevin Ellis on keyboards and rhythm guitar in 2002. The band reformed in 2017. The band now has its own recording studio and will release more music in the future.
