About Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy is an artist among artists. He's half Jay-Z, half Sufjan Stevens, and half beautiful. In the open fields of Rhode Island, Sean is making a splash among the hipsters and the hopsters. Look for his new EP, "Spread The Word, Not The Gitis; Wash Your Hands", a record to fight diseases cropping up in Rhode Island.

His tunes often take satirical viewpoints of friends and celebrities. His most famous song, the Ballad of Mike Grier, tells the tale of an African-American hockey player in the NHL. The song speaks of his problem with penalties, and how it is hard to be an African-American in a sport dominated by white males. Other songs include "Kyle Kells is a Tool" and "Peter Simeone is a Tool." These tracks were released on a limited 3-track EP titled "The Bergeron Sessions, A Mix of Songs About Life." Sources say that there has only been 14 copies made, but they are highly cherished. Reportedly, in October 2006 one was sold on the internet auction site Ebay for over $10,000.

Currently Sean has no intentions of going on tour, but he is known to be seen around the streets of Scituate, MA.
