About Khiral
Khiral is a death/thrash influenced metal band from southern Finland. The foundations were built already in 2008, but this stew required some years of slow cooking and a few lineup changes. During the cooking period Khiral's style has evolved from dark hardcore-inspired rock to a unique mixture of death, thrash and even some black metal elements, still leaning hard on catchy rhythms, breakdowns and melodies.
Year 2017 was a real step forward, as Khiral made their way to Emergenza band competition’s Finnish final, thus being able to introduce themselves to larger audiences. The band also made their first appearances abroad on two gigs in Germany, and on top of all, recorded their first album “Chained” (released in January 2018).
”Chained” represented Khiral’s evolution from almost beginning to the state in which the band was at the time. Rock elements of the early days were long gone, but there were still hints of those hardcore-inspired breakdowns and rhytms that were the salt and the pepper right from the beginning.
During years 2018-20 Khiral played many gigs around southern and eastern Finland, steadily growing their audience. A few necessary line-up changes have taken place, but prosperous winds are blowing for Khiral as their second full-length album "Shards" was released on August 6th 2021. Khiral’s metal has taken huge leaps forward in terms of composing, melodies and even vocals.
