American Aquarium

Wow. I didn’t know what to expect with American Aquariam but I am so glad i was able to see them live! I appreciate the live, small venue type atmosphere…refuse to see a stadium band! AA is Full of energy, non stop playing and you can feel the emotion from PJ with his animated style of singing. I have always loved their music. I had a great night! Also bought some shirts and one of the signed posters! Lance Roark was amazing too…never heard of him until the concert and was impressed. He will go far!

Highly recommend this alternative country band. Adding in story telling and rock and roll this unique band is one of a kind. If you like Springsteen or Eric Church, be sure to check out American Aquarium

As always, these guys brought it. They are EXCELLENT, I catch them as often as I can and every time I leave a little gobsmacked. Towrds the end of the show, when BJ starts talking, it takes a while for all the drunks to shut up, but invariably it gets quiet enough to hear a pin drop before "The First Year" starts. I have tickets for their next show In Charlotte and odds are pretty high I'll catch another one shortly before or after that one :-)

Some musicians play songs. This band, especially the lead singer (BJ Barham), live and breathe their music. Last night was a rollercoaster of goosebumps, tears at the corner of my eyes, jumping up and down, singing out loud, and listening to BJ tell stories about his life and songs in a way that made you feel like you were his best friend. Going to the concert was a last minute decision for me and I am incredibly happy with my decision to do so.

Every time I see AA, the band levels up and consistently blows my mind. BJ is a class act and works harder for his fans than anyone else in the biz. I’m proud to be a fan and for as long as they keep playing, I’ll keep showing up to support them.

BJ Barham is a great storyteller and even better musician. I loved the small venue for his solo show at The Red Dragon Listening Room. If you get a chance to see him Solo or with the full band, do not pass it up.

BJ Barham and his band, American Aquarium tore the roof off The Soundwell last night! They hit the stage at 9:00pm and blazed through an over two hour set, highlighting songs from their latest record “Chicamacomico” as well as a career spanning catalog of bangers for all of us fortunate enough to be there! AA never disappoints and more than made up for the fact that the pandemic kept them away from Salt Lake City for the last 3 years. Fangawddamnedtastic as always! Thanks Fellas!

BJ and his boys NEVER disappoint! As always, American Aquarium delivered a high energy and deeply personal show effecting everyone lucky enough to have been in the crowd. Hands down, BJ Barham is the most passionate singer/songwriter/performer that I’ve experienced thus far in “Live Texas Music”.

Bj Barham is an old soul and a true artist who shares all of the bad and all of the good parts of his life with total strangers. He spills it all out effortlessly, his triumphs and shortcomings. He is a true artist, bearing his soul, and the musical product is infectious. Attendance was low, but darn near every single person in the room stood in line to meet the man behind the songs. The only musical "genre" I care about is HONEST and they are the definition of the honest music that I spend my life seeking. He is sober and strong and will invite you to come and speak to him after the show, and will be polite and charm your drunk ass as if you were old friends. Kudos to him and his rock and roll band. Good show. Band had great energy but only about 50 ppl there. A few songs missing. Rock'n'Roll! So druckvoll, laut, rauh und intensiv sind AA schon lange nicht mehr gewesen. Der Sound im Yard Club der Kantine war aber auch exzellent. Schade, dass das nur so ungefähr 50 Leute sehen wollten...

BJ was great. Was really on point tonight. He sang his heart out. You can really tell he loves what he is doing. He had great stories in between the songs that really engaged the crowd and humanize the songs. So good. Has a quick chat with him afterwards and he's just a great guy.

Fantastic gig, Tim Easton was support and although I'd only heard a couple of his tracks before he was excellent, AA came on at 930, the lead singer BJ Barham has so much passion for his songs, acoustically and non acoustic. The rest of the band were note perfect in their musicianship. They did a nearly 2 hour set of which was faultless, a 5 star gig.

Been a fan for ages and was really looking forward to seeing them live for the first time, and they didn't disappoint.Fantastic show, brilliant songs and some funny stories from bj.Hope the come back again.

all 3 bands were awesome had great energy...we will definitely be following both #fortdefiance and #radiobirds now as well... Fitzgerald were a perfect venue, had tables just feet away from the stage, great staff and and open enough to be able to meet the bands afterwards...loved it

This was a show that no one who loves music shouldn't have missed. American Aquarium is one of the best bands around. If they are close to you catch a show and you'll see just what I'm talking about.

Sunday night show after 5" of snow dropped on Columbus overnight, a less than attentive crowd complete with screaming drunk co-eds and a guy so wasted he had to be carried to the backroom. Add that to the early start and end time for the regular Sunday night house gig and you could forgive a lesser band for mailing it in and getting the hell out of town. Instead, BJ Barham and the band ripped through a rocking set highlighted by songs from their latest release, Wolves. Half star off for leaving Jacksonville out.
