Red Telephone

Hailing from Cardiff, Red Telephone’s blend of melodic psych and darkwave has drawn comparisons to indie trailblazers MGMT, St. Vincent, and fellow Welsh cult favourites Super Furry Animals. Their second album ‘Delay The New Day’ was released in January 2025, garnering critical acclaim from the likes of Clash, Under The Radar, and God Is In The TV.

Exploring themes of paranoia, doubt, hope, and the trappings of group dynamics, ‘Delay the New Day’ was arranged by the band in solitude in Cornwall and recorded semi-live in under two weeks. Driven by the quintet's knack for multi-instrumental intricacies and drawing on cinematic influences, Red Telephone’s latest work is bold, genre-bending and defiantly optimistic, while staying true to the unique style they established in their 2023 debut.
