About Behaving Badly

Darren Jacobsen (Drums/Vocals)

Darren grew up in a musical family and started playing the drums at age 10. He joined his parent's country band at 13 and played a busy schedule for two years. Country music is where it all started but the focus quickly turned to rock n roll when he heard bands like AC/DC, Kiss, Van Halen and Skynard. While doing the country thing, he and his brother had a rock band through their school years that brought them to Colorado from Iowa.

Over the years he has played in various cover and original bands and recorded an album in avalanche studios in the early nineties. Shortly after he took a pause from the music scene to concentrate on family. In the early 2000's he started to work his way back into doing what he loves, playing live music. The latest projects were INOTIO ( a mostly original band ) and the cover band Th3rd Bridge.

Mike Clark (Guitar/Vocals)

Mike started out as a drummer back in the 80’s, playing in a couple of local bands around Denver.

After sharing his dream of becoming a rock star and moving to LA with his parents, they sent him to college in Gunnison, CO instead! Since drums didn’t fit in the dorm room, he noticed the guy across the hall having a Gibson SG guitar. He asked if he could play it and that started a love of the guitar. Playing in a couple of projects in the “hair band” era, he got a full time job and then married. After taking a hiatus for about 20 years to raise 3 boys he started playing daily about 3 years ago and yearned for the experience of playing live again.

Mike sat in for a few shows with a Denver blues band and played in the local band “Th3rd Bridge” for the last 2 years.

Mark Pitcher(Guitar/Vocals)

Mark Pitcher is a self taught guitarist who grew up in Nebraska and started playing guitar at the age of 16. Early influences were Michael Schenker, Ace Frehley, Adrian Vandenburg and Randy Rhoads to name a few.

Mark played in a few rock cover bands in high school, but quickly started his own band that was primarily all original music and started recording. Mark moved to Denver in 1989 and joined a heavy metal band called "Metal Seminar" that played the Denver music scene on a regular basis. Soon after, Mark was writing material for the band and recorded two albums.

In 1994, Mark took a long hiatus from the music scene but continued to write music until 2001 when he helped form the band "Core" which recorded an album in 2003 and another album in 2009 under the name “Cimmerian Shade”.

Currently, Mark continues to write music and record with various projects and musicians in the Denver area.
