About Prodigal Sunn
Real Name: Vergil Ruff
Although Prodigal Sunn has many verses on the Sunz of Man album, he has very few appearances outside his group, and very little is known about him.
Born in Crown Hights, Brooklyn, NY, his name means extravagant, the Sunn is light, the light is the symbol of truth. The name came from the Bible Luke 15:32.
His first known appearance was on Ol' Dirty Bastard's debut album, "Return To The 36 Chambers (The Dirty Version)", on the track "Protect Ya Neck II The Zoo".
He was also featured on the Killarmy's track along with Hell Razah, entitled "Wake Up" and also appears on "La Saga" along with Dreddy Kruger and Timbo King.
"We do this for the youth," he explains his goal. "We're not worryin' about no grown-ass mothafuckaz. We're dealin' with babies. All these old mothafuckaz, you can't teach an old dog new tricks."
Prodigal Sunn is the only Sunz of man member who was not featured on Killah Priest's album, "Heavy Mental".
